I hate to rain on anybody's parade, but just because two people are near each other and smiling or laughing, doesn't mean somebody is being tickled. I mean come on, one of those looks like a wedding portrait.

I have to agree, mainstream pictures are nice, probably because they are realistic, and not overly posed and fake looking. But it seems people are so desperate for those that they will accept ANY picture that may hint at tickling - A girl smiling will count as a tickling picture....

there is one thing to think about when nay saying mainstream pics, and that is how where they found. most of the time when you're searching for mainstream pics you're using a search engine to find the word 'tickle' or some form thereof in the caption or file name of the search. even pics that don't clearly show the tickling where probably posted as "the reason i look so silly is that joe was tickling me," or some such thing. i doubt that prof was looking through the gazillions of pics online and posting the ones he thought might be tickling.
