I think that's about the only Hiro.M pic I've ever seen, but I really like it too. Does he have a website or something?
 
Couldnt tell you...but his work is so popular that I iomagine there is a big collection of it somewhere at least.

He has no website, although the community has been searching for one for many a year. His work pops up at moe.homelinux.net every so often, and new works we believe were done by him also pop up there from time to time. His site, if indeed one does exist, is likely buried deep within the Japanese section of the interweb.
 
So he's sort of like a mythical artist. 😛 Only rumours exist about his website, but no one has ever proven it's existence. I think that make's it a nice surprise when you do find a pic by him. 🙂

Whats that supposed to mean? Its true. Less people gave a damn about it before I continually implied what should be done. Since then it has been significantly less of a problem and less of an occurance.

I'm of course not claiming to have invented the idea itself, merely instituted it here, which could be called pioneering since I didn't see much effort before me. 😛

Well, you've been successful - it's mainly because of you that I decided to credit everybody as best I could. If it weren't for you, people would just be posting uncredited pictures willy nilly, and nobody would get any recognition. You've done the artists a big favour. 😉
 
I won't take all credit for it, but I will take a sizable portion of it. There were others that were instrumental in the process as well and helped it along and still do as you can see.

I just believe its a service and honor to the artists. They deserve that much, and those that fond over their work deserve to know who they are for future reference. The results are not one-sided, everyone benefits.
 
Exactly. How else would you know who to look out for if you don't know who drew the picture in the first place. That happened to me with the "grey series". I always loved those, but couldn't track them down because they were uncredited. I've only gotten my hands on most of them since that recent thread that brought them all together (bless whoever started that thread).

Which reminds me that an update to my website is long overdue...as are images from moi in the Anime Chicks thread...*Workload multiplies*
 
If you're going to do one for him, it would be a good idea to do it for everyone that stands out and is known.
 
True. There are several artists who are not around (Or are dubiously around, as with Hiro M) who deserve a page. Someday, someday...

Its more about words and about them and appriciation for them than it is about their art anyways.
 
Seriously HDS I'm sure you've got the images and I've got the time (and hopefully the skill) to do it. Would just need a good free host. I'd do it on my server since I use practically none of the bandwidth but you've seen my email addy and you know why I can't do that. 😛
If you want you cand send me a collection of images and I will put together something cool. 😀
 
Free host? Bah. I could stick up a subdomain for the page(s) off of my main domain. The trouble is concealing it from those who know about my domain and don't know about my second life...perhaps a modification of the robots.txt is in order (AGAIN. *Sigh*). If this actually is to be done, it might be a good idea to call on all members of the TT to post any works of the particualr artist (Hiro M. in this case) after having posted all the ones between the two of us. I can code pages easily (Dreamweaver makes it easier than it needs to be), but the trouble is finding the time. Of course, if you do it (Like you said), then there isn't really a problem.

Come to think of it, I COULD just buy a second domain name for all naughty pages...*Muses*
 
hahaha can we buy NessandHDS.com? 😛 I'd love to put up a website with all my art and stuff by, for obvious reasons like I said, I can't use my domain. It's dumb...I pay for the damn thing but I havent updated my site in ages.
Anyway, I have more free time than you do so I should code it. And I'm better than you are. 😀 😀 😀
 
So you say, although that is most likely true. I let Dreamweaver do most of the work. XD Actually, I might be able to grab one at GoDaddy (Ubder $10 a year now) if it doesn't cost extra to stick it in as an add-on domain on my account. This might just work...
 
Dunno...Can you do that? I mean add another domain to your site and have them be totally seperate. That would be awesome if you could. Or if I could....
 
Oh, it can be done. Addon domains and all that. I do have to consider bandwidth though...I wish I knew of a site to use as a benchmark for usage. If we add enough tribute sites, there might be more bandwidth than I have, depending on usage, although I doubt it.
 
I hardly use any of my bandwidth...I get 100 gig of transfer a month which is...enormous. Damn...I didnt know I got that much! I think they raised it since I bought it. 😛
 
100 eh? More than mine I see. I'll bet I pay less than you for my 80, though. 😛 How much space do they give you, hard drive-wise?
