I'd bet that this has probably happened to most people in the tickling community at least once. Sometimes it's because of fear despite the fact that on the surface the comfort level between the ler & lee seemed fine. Some people just can't take the leap.
Other times it's just simply dishonesty, inconsideration and down right rudeness on the part of the no-show.
I've been fortunate to only have had a couple of occasions where after months of chatting, photo exchanges & even phone conversations lee's did not turn up at designated locations or where I was advised the day before a session that my "lee" got a case of cold feet!
Not much we can do other than chalk it up to experience. Live and learn.
I like to look at it the same way as Steph. If they don't turn up or if they back out in the 11th hour it's their loss. While disappointing & inconvenient to me, I'll get over it.
They are the ones missing out on a fun and exciting experience.
