i hope this doesn't sound too biased but the only reason i want the sens to win (beat the holy living crap outta the ducks) is because i'm a kings fan and as far as i'm concerned, nobody gets to bring the cup back to socal until the kings do, which from the looks of last season, may be a damn long time! lol!!!

but that's what's great about the Cap era!!! Teams fortunes can change in a season with one or two good moves and draft choices... look at Edmonton and Carolina this year as opposed to last year... neither of them made the playoffs this year. Cheer your team like you always have and give them time.

Sorry Sens fans but that was a pretty weak showing. I'd Dump Emery in a heartbeat. So its the 3rd straight year the cup goes to a "non-traditional" hockey city. I'm just wondering how anaheim/LA people are reacting in general...did the whole city party last night or is it barely making news? just asking because you know ottawa must be in a pall now.

You'd be surprised tax...the mood in Ottawa is actually quite uplifting. Sure the fans here are disappointed but in all honesty, no one really expected them to make it so far. Beating the Pens was one thing (there were naysayers there) but beating a seemingly hot Martin Brodeur and exorcising a playoff demon in beating the Sabres have made Sens fans very proud. I just finished watching Sportscentre here and they showed footage of the Sens fans showing up when they arrived home from Anaheim...the Sens needed a police escort because the fans were lined up for quite a distance along the road's shoulders as shown by a chopper cam. Very good to see!
