THE ALPHABET LAST NAMES THREAD.

Freeman (Freddie Freeman, First baseman with the LA Dodgers, who was formerly with the Atlanta Braves)

Hader (Josh Hader, baseball closer, most recently with the San Diego Padres now a free agent I believe)

Ishii (Kazuhisa Ishii, pitcher, L.A Dodgers)[Not a star, but the only player I know who played for the Dodgers and has a last name beginning with I.]

Jones, (Larry Chipper Jones, baseball Hall of Fame Third baseman who spent his entire career with the Atlanta Braves)

(Sandy Koufax, pitcher, 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers, 1959 World Champion L.A. Dodgers, 1963 World Champion L.A. Dodgers, and 1965 World Champion L.A. Dodgers)

Lasorda (Tommy Lasorda, manager, 1988 World Champion L.A. Dodgers)

Maddux. (Greg Maddux , baseball legend, with 355 wins, four Cy Youngs, and more Gold Gloves than any pitcher in history_)

Newcombe (Don Newcombe, pitcher for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers, sometimes know as "Big Newk")

Podres (Johnny Podres, pitcher for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers, for the 1959 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, for the 1963 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, and for the 1965 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers)

Robinson (Jackie Robinson, third baseman for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers)

He is obviously one of the most famous people who ever played in MLB, known well even by non-fans.

But here is one thing almost nobody remembers about him: After the 1956 season, Walter O'Malley traded him to the putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards. Mr. Robinson refused to report to that team, instead announcing his retirement from baseball. In my eyes, that makes him even more of a hero. :man:

Valenzuela (Fernando Valenzuela, pitcher for the 1981 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers and for the 1988 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers)

Xerxes, King of Persia
[I don't know of any player for the Dodgers who has a last name beginning with X.]

Zimmer (Don Zimmer, utility infielder for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers, for the 1959 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, and for the 1963 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers)
