Never have I ever forgotten seeing on TV outfielder Willie Davis making three errors in Game 2 of the 1966 World Series. The resulting unearned runs (along with the Dodgers offense producing 0 runs) led to Sandy Koufax being the losing pitcher in the last game that he ever pitched. 🙁
Never have I ever forgotten that I saw Sandy Koufax pitch in Shea Stadium on July 30, 1964.
Koufax was removed for a pinch hitter (Wally Moon) that day after 7 innings pitched. The Dodgers won, 5-3, and an enraged Casey Stengel was ejected from the game by the umpires for arguing a balk call.
Never have I ever forgotten that the Dodgers beat the Phillies in extra innings the one and only time that I went to Philadelphia to see a Dodger game there.
Never have I ever forgotten the two runs scored on Kirk Gibson's walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs and two strikes on Gibson (in Game 1 on the 1988 World Series).
