Is it you? Prove it! Tell me what makes you the ultimate sports fan of your favorite sport!

My favorite sport is hockey
My team is the Buffalo Sabres

I make sure I listen to every single game over my computer, no matter what! I even took my computer to theater rehearsal for that reason!

I will rate you on a scale of 1-10

My favorite sport is baseball and I always make sure that no matter where i am I know how the Red Sox are doing. While working on projects I often check scores, read stories and listen to the games as well.

I also find it important to mention that they haven't lost a game i have attended since 1995, that includes the nail biter games 😀

:yayzorz: about a 4 on the ultimate sports fan scale

I will be when tickling becomes an internationally recognized sport.... my auto correct appears to be set for US Elgnish.... Yikes! Too many ZEDs appearing in places of S!

I won't tickle you when the 49ers are playing.

And I must watch every game, live, on TV. And if I'm going to be doing things, I schedule them around the 49ers games. I even was working a play once, luckily I was just handing out programs and taking tickets, bc I took the day off to watch the 49ers play the Raiders.

I'm also an Oakland Athletics fan (baseball, yeah different sport I know) but I think just being a fan of theirs still makes me a big fan lol..

You are indeed an ultimate sports fan. You rate a 7 on the scale.

I'm definitely a fan but no where close to an ultimate fan. The one thing I have over many others is that I work in an arena so I get to see a crapton of hockey games, the NHL variety... though the team I work for is not my favourite!

I just wanted to say... ANOTHER NHL FAN, GOD BLESS!!! 😀

Who is your favorite?

And I give you a 5, for blessing me, lol

TO HELL WITH THE BLOODY SABRES!!!!!

Sorry, born and bred near Boston and the Bruins be my favorite. Been to several games this year, including Game 3 of the current play-off series.

Take care Angel 😛

I am SO the ultimate fan! :peace: 😛

I watch hockey, since it's the only REAL sports amongst pseudo-sports. I follow 3 different leagues on a regular basis (the NHL, the Swedish Elite League, and the Swedish second division where my favorite team, Leksand, plays), and I also follow my local team that plays in Division 5 (beer league, but still!) and try to keep track of the Russian KHL as often as I can. I also know the names of most of the other European top leagues, and can name at least a handfull of players out of each and every one.

I am listed on Facebook as "in a complicated relationship" with my favorite Swedish team, since they fail to get promoted to the SEL year in and year out. I'll keep cheering for them no matter what, though!

I stay up till 5 am just so I can watch some NHL games. If the Caps are playing that's a bonus, but I don't really care so long as it's hockey. XD

I know a great deal about the youth systems in the "Big 7" hockey nations (although I argue it's more like the "Big 6" now that Slovakia is going downhill with their programme), and I follow young players from as early an age as possible if I think they're going to turn into something special. Usually they don't get on my radar until they're around 16, but I've followed Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay 2nd overall pick) since he was 14 years old, amongst others. While I know more about Swedish prospects than any others, I also have a good grasp of the young players in Canada, Finland and the US - at least the ones that will play in the u20 World Juniors, since it is a Christmas tradition for me to watch that tournament! ^^

My second most frequented forum after the TMF is a hockey forum. (hfboards.com)

I haven't missed a World Championship since 1998, and I watch most of the "friendlies" played ahead of the tournament (provided the games are aired on TV, otherwise I just look up the results online). I also follow the lower divisions of the World Championship, since I want the UK, France, Italy and Germany to do well; if they develop into strong hockey powers then that will be GREAT for the sport!

Lastly, I know a lot of hockey history, including medal counts (for example I know that the UK actually has a gold medal in hockey at the winter olympics 😀), and the single reason I don't play hockey myself is because I suck at skating! :rowfull:

I should rate you a -500

but In all fairness I rate you a 3. Give me something you do to be named the ultimate sports fan and I shall raise it

Not the ultimate sports fan! I follow 4 sports closely! Hockey, Basketball, football and golf!

Way to go Carsomyr! You get a 9!!!!! :yayzorz:

I'll let you rank me

I put a hole in my wall, broke a chair, took the Lord's name in vain and insulted someone's mother when the Sabers lost to Ottawa in the Conference finals a few years ago

I hate the Leafs with a BURNING passion

I got into a fight for the sports page in homeroom when I was in HS

I cried when my dad wouldn't buy me a buffalo Sabers sheet set

My dream house has a finished basement with the biggest tv I can find (or even better, 2 tv's in case there is more than one game on I want to watch), a circle of couches, a bar, sports memorabilia all over the walls,

I take pride in the tradition of my hometown hockey team in screaming "HEY REF YOU SUCK!" at the clapping part of the chicken dance

I go all out for hockey games, I have the jersey, the beads, temporary face tattoos, I even have a pom in sabers colors that I converted into a hair scrunchie, so I have blue, yellow, and white hair whenever I go to games!

I was honored at a local hockey game, go to go out on the red carpet out onto the ice, and was congratulated by the players for a public service announcement I wrote (that actually got put on the air)

You be the judge, how big a sports fan am I?

Buh... buh... buh... I asked YOU to do the ranking! 😛

Anyway, as purely a Sabres fan you'd probably get a 9 or a 10, but as a fan of the sport as a whole I think maybe an 8 or POSSIBLY a 9. 😉 The passion is definitely there, but I miss the nerd aspect; such as knowing every player's stats, development curves, etc. Then again, when I asked the other day if you followed junior leagues etc you said the reason you didn't was simply due to lack of time, so maybe I'm grading you wrong. xD
