I'm speechless! That was almost real!!! What did you create it in? How long did it take?
Thanks andymac,
Glad you liked it. To answer your question: I created the individual shots in Poser 5, then combined them together to create the film using Premiere 6.
Designing the characters (skin, hair, eyes, clothes, etc) takes a day or two. Setting up the locations is about the same. Then comes the hard part - doing the actual animating. Each character is keyframed by hand for every bit of movement (breathing, eye blinking, etc.) That can be very time consuming, depending on the complexity of the shot. The shot of the guy grabing the cheerleader with the chloroform rag took several days to set up.
Rendering 30 frames for every second of animation usually takes a few hours, but I tend to watch the clips over and over and find flaws, then render them at least a second or third time before I get exactly what I want.
Then comes the editing of the clips together, adding music, sound effects, voices, titles and credits, etc.
I could probably do very short videos like these in a week or so, but this full 20 minute film took me about 10 months.
That's why I appreciate all the feedback so much. It's great to know people appreciate the effort.
