At Thanksgiving 2024, one of my nieces (who is far left) was spouting off about politics. I left the room because if I stayed I would have either expressed extreme disagreement or vomited or both. When I returned 30 minutes later, they were all talking about where to get the best bargains in buying a pedigreed dog.

Yea I hear ya. That was a smart move. Avoid confrontation when possible.

Especially at Thanksgiving, Christmas, all these big holidays...some people don't see their family that often and you are going to waste time fighting over stuff?

Yea exactly. Just a matter of priorities. Politics just really isn't that important compared to family and friends. Ashame more people dont see that.

Cold weather (or worse, cold rainy weather) in the spring is a major bummer. 🙁

Definierely It finally warmed up here. Hopefully it warms up where you are too.

Wind Chill in my town this morning is 19 degrees. It's a shock to the system but fortunately this time of year it doesn't last long.

I'm hoping to get to take my shorts out in May...I normally do by mid-month.

Tonight it will be in the 40's in Brooklyn but not so windy as the last two days.
Still, it's lousy weather for April. 🙁

It goes from mostly 40s/50s to 80s/90s usually...wish we had more days in the 60s and 70s!

Yes, I have observed that. In some years, it goes directly from too chilly to being uncomfortably hot and humid. It is much better to have genuine spring weather in between. ☀️

Our best spring weather really comes in autumn...Sept/Oct and even Nov sometimes you get the nicest weather of the year.

Mid 70s is ideal for me. Those days seem a lot rarer though these days
