I'd rather read a longer book than watch a longer movie because you can pace yourself with the book and read a few pages here and there.

Yea that's certainly true. I don't do much reading these days but I always enjoyed it.

Yes, the longest book I ever read was over 1200 pages. It took weeks to read it.

I think Dune was the longest book I read. I forget how long it was but it was pretty long.

When I was 8 years old, my parents bought a copy of the Encyclopaedia Britannica. I don't know the total page count of all 20+ volumes but it was enormous. I was under the mistaken impression that they expected me to read it all, from A to Z. 😱

I believe that the purpose of the encyclopedia (from my parents point of view) was that my brother and I could do any homework assignment without asking them to drive us to the town library.

They are very handy and very useful. Latter on my parent bought a set of Collier encyclopedias. They were better then the Funk and Wagnals

I love reading and big books the problem is I fall asleep while reading at night cause I'm tired lol.

That sometimes happens to me, too. In the morning, I will find the book on the floor near the bed. 😛

I love big books too. My eyesight keeps from reading much though. Ned too many magnifiers.
