The Hollywood brother needs all of the members here to help him. You see since the hollywood brother was little he has loved a small new jersey community called Wildwood New Jersey. It is a somewhat typical summer shore town but it has survived by having its own unique attractions that no place else has. Recently in the last few years many Wildwood landmarks are disappearing at a very rapid rate. It is so bad that the city is trying to get the whole town some type of historical thing from congress to stop people from destroying the older stuff.
The jewel of wildwood for decades was a place called hunts pier. You can do a yahoo search for Hunt's Pier to find out how great it was. Unfortunatly the gentleman that owned the pier sold it in the late eighties when he was no longer able to run it. Since then it has gone downhill and most of the buildings, rides, attractions and other cool stuff has been destroyed by fire, time, or man.
In the last five years Wildwood New jersey has lost over 100 classic rides and buildings that helped wildwood define what wildwood really is. As the days and months past, greedy developers have bought much property and just keeping tearing everything down for condos. however a good family by the name of morey has bought out the remains of Hunts pier and some other wildwood landmarks. Unfortunatly most of the attractions are long gone but there is one that still stands the test of time. It is called the Golden Nugget. It stands tall on Hunt's pier year after year while the weather and time takes it toll on it. This ride was built in 1960 and it is the oldest thing left stadning in Wildwood.
What the Hollywood Brother needs from everyone in here is for each and every member to go to http://www.moreyspiers.com/ticker.php?id=34 and click on the link. On this site the moreys Organization want to know if they should make the ride operational and safe it. The hollywood brother is begging every member on this great site to go there and send a email asking to keep the ride alive. Even if you never ever heard of wildwood, just please email them and tell them not to destory a great piece of history. This will only take a minute and it would help the hollywood brother out greatly.
The hollywood brother can't save the world by himself but wildwood is as Americana as hulk hogan, Fireworks and the fourth of july. So please find it in all of you to help the hollywood brother by going to http://www.moreyspiers.com/ticker.php?id=34 and telling them to save the Golden Nugget.
