Television producer of hit TV series such as "Charlie's Angels", "Dynasty", "Beverly Hills 90210", "Melrose Place", etc., died yesterday in his home Friday after suffering a stroke on the 18th. He was 83.

This is very sad news. I didn't always watch Mr Spelling's later shows, but, when I was much younger, Starsky and Hutch, produced by Spelling, and his partner at the time, Len Goldberg, was my favorite show. Spelling leaves a legacy in the entertainment world, perhaps unequalled. He was a giant.

Rest In Peace, Mr Spelling.
