Apologies in advance: this Low Roads chapter is really long, 43 pages. That's a lot more material than I'd prefer for folks to have to download and absorb (more than I care to produce at one time, too), but I'm determined to deliver Sid's raid on Swillwell by Chapter 17 (to those not sure what I'm talking about, please check the last installment, 14, for the setup) and much plot incident needed to be set in place first. Chapter 16 will take care of the remainder, and it shouldn't be anywhere near as taxing.

Having said all that, let me further apologize and caution that this chapter may be the last for several months. My enthusiasm for the project remains sky high, and the flesh (while fatigued) is certainly willing. However, the business printer I use (and upon which I absolutely rely) is falling badly out of alignment and I see no hope of delivering acceptable artwork until it's been replaced. I must thus await developments, which with luck won't be long in coming. Till that time, I'll work out script difficulties so that production for upcoming chapters can commence instantly once a new printer's in place. My profoundest thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of this series; I'll do everything possible to see that it continues soon.

Kind of you to say so, Featherhead! Thanks very much! 43 pages might prove a trial to patience, but I'm glad it didn't prove too much of a trial! Very pleased you liked the tickling (it'd been far too long since I'd done an intense fetish session) and I did want to give the proceedings a more risque edge, primarily to firm-up Mercy's developing carnal awareness. That, and I thought a nude bath scene would be a kick! Any excuse to get their clothes off!

Grateful thanks, Jimmy! Mercy's blushing from your compliment, though pink had indeed turned into her signature color long before! I'm not overly fond of it myself (I tend toward secondaries... teal and vermillion are particular favorites), but with due diligence it won't dominate the pallet! Crowding the frame with all sorts of wild hues should keep it in line!

Okay! I should have thought of that! There's so much "stuff" in this chapter, I tend to lose track of it! That wasn't intended to be Blacky, though your supposition isn't unreasonable considering the vagueness of the appearance. It's actually Ignatz the mouse, from the Krazy Kat comic strip. That Ignatz should suddenly appear for one panel isn't as off-the-wall as it may seem... it's actually an under-the-radar cameo tribute to forum member Ignatz. He hasn't been around for ages, and I rather miss him; he and I were nearly the same age and shared a host of fond memories.

Spot on, Limbo! Altering attitudes is a major theme for this series... especially evident in Mercy, since she's (1) been so stubbornly resistant and (2) been the object of so much hostile tickle obsession! Unlike her pal, Angie (who, being less assertive, had a more comfortable conversion), Mercy must learn to adapt to pleasurable sensation. This requires a certain degree of trust, something her upbringing has steeled her against. Letting go without losing her grip... that's her challenge.

Thank you! That's something I intend to explore more fully during Chapter 17, the Swillwell raid. It sure does convey benefits... perhaps some built-in drawbacks, too.

With each episode, the tickling/sensuality metaphor becomes clearer: tickling representing sensual pleasure as regarded by an uptight and puritanical community, something they secretly want but have trouble admitting... while the bogies take sensual pleasure too far, turning it into their only focus and becoming degenerates. A very interesting structure.

On a simpler level, though, I'm still hoping to see Sid get a whole bunch of girls at once. 🙂 Is there perhaps a ladies' college in the Tabor area? 😀

Wow! That's a beautifully phrased crystallizing of this series' main theme, Owen! Far more succinct than I'd ever expressed myself or was ever likely to! I'm gonna save this... repeat if verbatim if I'm ever again asked to explain the story's primary point! With due attribution, of course!

You're absolutely spot-on regarding the ordinary citizenry of Tabor County: they're repressed and pointlessly judgmental, an attitude best typified by Mercy's sister, Sheriff Persephone... a lady so narrow-focused about suppressing carnal appetite that she's devoted her entire professional life to subjugating the pleasure-mad bogeys (Sephie may be a socially-retarded ogre, but she has cause and is far from irredeemable. Thus far, her character's received little exploration; I intend to start filling that deficit as soon as Chapter 16). The uber-bogey approach (as exercised by Little Big Head or Sid) is equally myopic: these monsters drown themselves in sensual thrills, pursuing them so single-mindedly that they've abandoned any hope for eternal, non-corporeal continuation. Mercy doesn't know it yet, but she's seeking balance... learning to love pleasure when it's appropriate and to face denial and sacrifice when such is called for. She (all the story's characters) have much maturity to gain. They'll have time for it, too... the story's barely a third complete.

I hadn't thought such a scenario through in any detail, but I certainly intend to now! Matter of fact, I can see a golden opportunity for this sort of fetish orgy in the upcoming siege on Swillwell (Chapter 17)! It's similar to an idea I'd planned for a mass bogey attack on Fairview, which would probably still be a year away... moving it up won't harm that scene and will provide good material for a chapter which promised to be otherwise light on tickling incident! My grateful thanks! This story thrives in the presence of good suggestion!

While I try to distribute the focus for those who don't care for feet or dote on other sensitive body spots, I'm afraid foot tickling is always going to sneak its way into prominence! And it isn't over yet: I have a major foot-tickling scene planned for the beginning of Chapter 16! I'm really gonna have to buckle down and spread the pleasure... non-foot folks need satisfaction too!

ok i just finished reading chapter fifteen...and damn...a foot rub, someone getting tickled in their bed at night...i'm going to stick my feet out the window and see if anyone bites er i mean tickle lol....oo i love the vivid colors you use..and the expressions on all the faces...that girl giggling and holding her hand over her mouth..too cute for words..her shoes were the cat's meow....and those villains, love the ruffian look on their faces also..ahh that poor teacher, at the hands of those wicked men...mm lucky her

So glad to hear so much of this episode worked well for you, Izzy! I wouldn't recommend sticking your feet out the window in real life... mosquitos are more likely to swarm than bogeys (damn! I hate it when practical considerations intrude!) And I'm really happy you liked Sparrow's shoes! Stylish I am naturally not, and it's a relief to know these stilettos came across the way I'd hoped!

Interesting story about Miss Tessie Tingle (the school mistress)... she was originally intended to fill the tickle-bed occupied by Sparrow. The disguised tickler was originally supposed to be Miles Mutton, the shop owner from Chapter 5 (same place Tessie was introduced). Sparrow assumed Tessie's place at some point (the investigative trap seemed more of a fruitful fit, I think)... finally, I replaced Miles Mutton with the Moonknight when I needed cameo activity for this forum member. It's all worked out for the best... Miles Mutton was a dullsville character, and Tessie's gained a whole new career as tickle-toy for pay (a lark she loves, though she'll never admit it!) More from Miss Tingle after the Swillwell raid.

Yeah... I'm not sure why I decided to define the story's Izzy as an expert seamstress. I must have had some excuse, but I don't remember it now! It's worked out well enough in plot terms, what with the pending wedding. These longer-term, vaguely defined tributes (you, Janus, now Moonknight, etc.) were never meant to represent the targeted forum members in exact terms, despite the names... hope you don't think I really resemble Little Big Head all that closely!

Yeah... I haven't done paint-by-numbers in years, but I did hear something about that. Mixing colors! Anyone who can successfully mix colors really doesn't need paint-by-numbers, I'd think! Isn't that the whole point! Not to have to do anything too involved and still get a pretty result!
