Thanks, Capcom! Your concern for Mercy makes her seem very real! While I don't like to be too specific about upcoming events (it's more fun, I think, to allow for lots of suspense!), I will say this... Mercy's condition (bogey-wise) will be directly addressed in our next chapter. Also, we'll see hints of a force to rival the bogeys, both in its mysterious, forbidding power and its lust for tickling!

Indeed, she'll have her own back-up adventure... toying with bogeys for the sake of her column! Don't be surprised if she winds up at the end of a business end of feather very soon!

Thanks, Smilepile! Too much tickling?!... actually, I know exactly what you mean! I find fetish content to be even more effective when it's carefully foreshadowed and placed in a broad context! You're quite right, too, about this chapter being a turning point. Mercy's facing her crisis and is about to take decisive action... whether things will turn out well for her is something we'll just have to see!

I don't know how many of you have been following the cack =/= art thread, but in keeping with what we've discussed there, I'm bumping this thread up for more exposure. Kalamos (and others) suggested that fans do this as a way of promoting what they consider to be especially wonderful art. I can tell that the creator of these pieces put a lot of time and effort into this chapter, and I hate to see it slide off the first page while stuff that obvious took a lot less time remains in circulation. Enjoy! 🙂

Thank you! By now you'll know whether or not Mercy's really lost her soul (for the sake of people reading the chapters in order, I won't spill the beans! 😉 ) As to sister Persephone, her relationship with Mercy is complex. I won't start to explore this point in detail until Chapter 10, but it won't hurt to explain that Sephie has been Mercy's sole support her whole life (their parents having died while Mercy was an infant). Sephie's more mother than sister, but her naturally taciturn nature and her police duties have sapped away the opportunities for any kind of bonding. Sephie sees Mercy as willful and irresponsible; Mercy sees Sephie as driven and unyielding. Both are right; each will have to bend and grow to face the crises to come. Whether or not they're able to will provide the tension as this story unwinds.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to rattle on about the the plot! I enjoy explaining things, and it does help me solidify the details!

What very nice commentary! Thanks so much, Wishfoot88! I'm delighted and most gratified you've enjoyed the Low Roads series so much thus far! It really makes the ongoing work worthwhile to receive such an enthusiastic, thoughtful reply! Chapter 6 is indeed a rather rough one for Mercy (I suspect, despite her gripes, that she actually manages to enjoy the tactile thrill on some deep level). She'll have many more similar encounters to endure, but probably not another as single-minded or extended (it's difficult to drive the plot during fetish scenes, so I tend to opt for a variety of shorter spread-out tickling encounters. Chapter-long torture sessions become something of a luxury item... I do plan to include them as often as pacing allows, though).

Thanks so much for the wise admonition! I never do intend to stop! The Low Roads will entail years more storytelling... at present, it's little more than a third finished. Sharing this effort offers the most profound pleasure... hearing from wonderful folks like you makes the deal complete!
