How about the days when you didn't have to take your trash out to the street? The trash men would come into your yard and pour your trash onto these burlap sheets. Then they'd grab the sheets by the four corners and sling it over their shoulder like Santa Claus and take it out to the truck.

Oh lord. I hate to admit this, but I bought a brand new Gremlin. Bright orange with the white 'hockey sticks' on the sides, and a white interior. Truely hideous. No idea what I was thinking... . 😱

I did have some bell bottom jeans, but seldom wore them. No T-shirts or vests though.

Not when I owned the Gremlin. But a few years later I bought a Fiat X/19, a small car indeed. I am 6'3" and weigh 270 pounds. Gertting out of that car got me so looks, and people would sometimes ask "How do you fit in that thing?"

That Fiat actually had a lot of leg room and I could drive it with no problem. It was just small on the outside and low to the ground, but I was near thirty years younger then and it was fine. I should have done a bit more research though, had no idea parts were so expensive. I was glad to get rid of it for that reason.
