A new day has dawned and it's sure to be a fine one for our Armada. 😀 😛

Good to hear. 😀 😀 😛

I got to the place my company told me to get the new load over 1 hour early After I got there, that place told me to go to another location Maybe 6-8 miles away Got there no problem

I go to the shipping office, and they ask for my license and a company photo ID My company never gave me a company ID 😕 So I had to call my dispatcher, and he faxed a sheet with my name, license #,and the trailer # I had

Then the shipper asked me if I had a refrigerated(reefer) trailer 😕 We only have dry van trailers I told them So the shipper had to call BASF (chemical division) to make sure I could haul the product As the temp. would not get below 32F,or above 140F it was OK

Some days it don't pay to get out of bed How was your day? 😀 😛

You haul chemicals? Or only the non-hazardous ones?

😀 😀 😛

If you are ever curious or dont trust what they are telling you. Feel free to drop me a PM. 😉 😀

Will do my friend Thanks If the load is a haz-mat,the paperwork will be very different from a normal bill of lading For most haz-mat stuff,it has to be 1,001 pounds or more to be classified as such and to have the placards on the trailer

Some stuff it would be any amount, like 100 pounds to have the haz-mat bills and placards The shippers wouldn't falsify the paperwork (I think) for fear of a huge fine, and possible jail time 😀 😛

You are welcome. 😀

Most often then not that is the case that. Sometimes on occasions companies violate the rules. Any material almost always has a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) that describes the risks associated with that chemical. Usually the on the data sheet is the 4/4/4 rating system you usually see on the placard you are talking about. If I remember right one is for corrosiveness, one is for fire hazard, and the last for toxicity.

I think that's right It's been close to 4 years since I last hauled any load classified as hazmat 😀 😛
