Actually, my friend in Culver City wants the rest of the world to think that there are four seasons in L.A.: Earthquake, forest fire, mudslide, and riot. Taht way, she says, people from out of state will stop moving there. 😀 😛

I think the increase in Sales tax might take care fo that already. 😀 😀 😛

Yes, California's sales tax and state income tax are certainly making sure I don't move there.

The increase is supposedly for new rail lines that will never get built in all likelihood. 😀 😀 😛

Many years ago New York City sold some bonds to build a new subway line on Second Avenue. They did sell billions of dollars worth of bonds but never built the new subway. 😱

Yea part of the money here is for a rail line from LA to San Fran. Not a birght idea considering earthquakes and stuff.

Here earthquakes are rare and the Second Avenue subway line would have been useful because the easternmost line is now at Lexington Avenue. But the politicians stole all of the money that was raised. Typical.
