A membrane cannon actually creates a hyperdimensional membrane (kinda like an array of cosmic strings) that rips apart and destroys the very fabric of space around where it detonates.It is important to note that it will actually make real space disappear out of existence. Thus the cannons are to be used only in certain circumstances. To further explain the cannon's power, this universe was created by the collision of two cosmic membranes and caused what is commonly called the "Big Bang". Thus the membrane cannon is incredibly powerful even though the membranes it creates are very much smaller than the ones from where our universe originated. 😀 😀
