Plus if the goverment forces me to get health insurance I am gonna now have to pay 170 dollars a month. Before when I was under 50 I could get a plan for about 85 dollars a month. Where am I suppose to get this money from? 🙁 :Grrr:

That bill hasn't passed yet and is one of 4 or 5 floating around in Congress, so don't worry about it yet.

I suppose your right. 🙂 However it seems most of the bills have some sort of fines built in for the unisured. 🙁 So things are not encouraging.

I just sent this email to my congressman.

Hi,

I had talked to you before on another matter and you were most courteous and easy to talk to, That plesant conversation encouraged me to contact you on the issue of Health Care reform.

I currently have no health insurance and am trying to start a business. I have money saved up for various emergencies including medical emergenices. Once my business is started I was going to look into getting some basic coverage. What worries me about current plans before the senate especially the Baucus bill is plans to impose fines on people who are currently uninsured. Right now I am getting by on what I have saved if I am forced to buy a policy the cheapest I could get at my age would be $170/month. My situation is not easy but it is managable and it has been my dream to start my company for a long time. Any changes that Health Care Reform might impose on me would likely cause me to give up my dream. This is why at the presentI would urge you to vote NO on any Health Care Reform bills.

Many will be very upset, and justifiably so, as Kurch explained. :Grrr:

Even some people like me who get health insurance from their job will be upset by the unfairness of it.

In the Baucus bill if you have a so called Cadillac Plan (which is any plan considered to be too nice) then you would likely get an increase in taxes at 35% of the worth of the plan per year. 😱
 
It's another example of the federal government acting like a nanny towards adult citizens. 🙁

Maybe I should be grateful to the university for giving us only a Ford or Chevy plan. :rowfull:
