Armada Status:

The Armada scouts have provided us with a location and detailed description of The Dark Council's Lair. We will have a meeting on Friday most likely to discuss strategy. Battles will likely occur over the weekend and maybe even extend into Monday. THE THREAD should give us some upgrades before we head into battle. :bounce:

The Dodgers won the first round of the playoffs against the Cardinals. They are going to start the next round, the National League Championship Series, tonight against the Phillies. 😀 😛

Four NL teams make it to post season play, the three Division winner (Phillies east, Cardinals central, Dodgers west) and the second place team with the best record (Rockies). The same thing happens in the AL.

In the first round, the Dodgers beat the Cardinals (3 games to 0 in a best-of-5 series) and the Phillies beat the Rockies (3 games to 1) to qualify for the NLCS.

The NLCS is best-of-7 games. Game 1 starts at about 8:15pm tonight. 😀 😛

The winner is the National League Champion of 2009, and goes on to the World Series to meet the American League Champion which will be the Yankees or the Angels. 😀 😛

I started rooting for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955 when I was five years old. I just liked the look of the word "Dodgers" in blue script across their uniforms and I wanted to root for a different team than my parents (Yankee fans) and my brother (a fan of the other NY national league team which moved to San Francisco).
