Thanks. I've been trying to reassure them that I'll be safe in Michigan, but it seems nothing is working to easy their worries. They think because I'm meeting people from the internet that something bad will happen to me. I understand their concern and I know I have to be careful when meeting people from the internet, but it's frustrating. :banghead:

You are most welcome. :cuddle: My parents are the same way they treat anyone I know from the internet like aliens from another planet. Like they are going to inject me with their eggs and use me to spawn thier young. 😱 😛 I tell them its not any different then friends you made over the phone and then finally meet in person. I still havent convinced them. 😀 Course at this point if I can get them to use the TV remote correctly I would be happy. 😀

Totally! You have to be careful with anyone you meet for the first time whether it's through the internet, at a bar/club, or wherever. Am I really safer going to a bar alone and meeting people there than meeting people from the internet? The guy I'd chat up at a bar could just as easily be a rapist as the guy I had chatted up on the internet.

I have had that argument with them over and over. LOL Its just silly they still think someone I have chatted with over the net for years is still more risky then somebody I just met at a bar or a resturaunt. Go figure. :shrug:
