Well its a long story. The governemnt extended the DST by a few weeks on each end. However they did this without telling microsoft and many electronic manufancturers. So the changes as to when the time changes were to occur could not be incorporated into many electronics and this means consumers are stuck with manually changing dates on many items that use to do it automatically. Microsoft has a patch but it only works if you have a recent OS. The chane was intiated to supposedly save energy but a recent Scientific American artice show it not only did not save any energy but even cost more enrgy.
