In certain aspects probably. Birds can sense an earthquake minutes before it hits. I dont think anyone knows how yet.

Intelligence is not an easily definable thing. Some can be geniuses in music or art but not know a thing about math. Or the opposite can be true as well. Tis why I put little faith in IQs as they tend to only describe what people have learned rather that what their potential is.

Well thats the problem with them. They are suppose to measure ones ability to learn things and process information. Usually they just measure what some one has already learned. I heard there was a test that measured the number of connections between neurons and this is a total impartial test and perhaps a better indicator of intelligence.
