Certain creatures eh? Were they fluidic or crystalline?

Interesting question HDS an analysis of the probes initial findings by THE THREAD seem to indicate that the creature are both fluid and crystalline. Making them the first Liquid Crystalline creaures we have found. Do you know of any such aliens in your records my friend?

Hmmmm.....there were once five races who existed in that state...two have since passed on into memory, obliterated by natural disasters before they could achieve spaceflight. One, the Zentrisi, exists as a peaceful race of scholars and thinkers. They would not be there. The last two though.....the Traghari and the Svuitu. The Traghari tend to keep to themselves and, while they will do evil deeds, they wouldn't be serving Satan. The Svuitu would. They are an old, very nasty and very disagreeable race, always a menace to those unfortunate enough to encounter them. Their fluidic crystalline makeup makes them supremely adept at concealment and silent strikes, but renders them physically weak. Because of this, they've concentrated on beam and projectile weapons, and have produced some fearsome designs. Their weapons are not to be trifled with.

My lord, I suggest we fully understand these creatures before we strike. last thing we need is to enter a battle we're not prepared for. I have ordered Col. Milagros to stand down the troops until further instructed.

eh, I'm reading your missives from a Liquid Crystal Display. It's liquid and crystalline at the same time and is ancient 21st century technology.
And it's definitely alive 'cause it always responds whenever I ask it a question.
