She's doing alright, Kurch. Still has short term memory problems, which I guess are now chronic, but she's in stable health physically. 😀 😛

The only good thing I can say about it is that the onset was quite late, she was 86 when the problem first developed.

I had one grandmother who lived to be 97 and was mentally alert to age 96. 😀 😛

But also one uncle who died of congestive heart failure in his 60's. 🙁

I had a uncle who lived till 95. Actually fell of the roof at 88 and no onger needed glasses after he did. 😛 LOL

My guess is the fall's impact distorted his lens in a way that fixed his vision problems. Just a lucky random event that could have gone the other way.
