I have used it before to clean chemical fume hoods (not a fun thing to do by the way. 😛 ) and it worked ok for that. That was mainly to remove grease and grime though.

I have heard E-Z-Off oven cleaner is good for stripping model paint I know brake fluid is great,but I want to use something to strip the paint that is bio-degradable if I can

If the paint is not water based it is unlikely that anything bio like will take it off. 🙂 The bigger consideration is of course to make sure that whatever organic solvents are in the paint remover are safe for your plastic tank. If you have some test plastic try the stripper on those to make suure it wond dissolve or melt it. 🙂

Getting paint off plastic can be tricky. Use what works best. I think the Earth can handle whatever decision you make LOL 😉

If my only choice is brake fluid,I can always throw the fluid out in a special haz mat container at a truck stop garage I really don't like throwing stuff like that down a sink drain 😀 😛
I quite agree it not good to dump that stuff down the sink. As long as things are disposed of properly I think whatever you use should be fine. 🙂

I like the smaller type model forums vs the larger member types The smaller sites,we can speak our minds about the model companies easier 😀 😛
There are two model companies that got me a bit angry at them right now I refuse to buy any of their products because of the way they are acting
Used to be,model companies would never make a kit that another company did If they did,it would be of a different variant Not anymore it seems
Then there is a company out of Japan called Tasca They make some high quality Sherman tanks in 1/35 But then they cost $70-$90 😱
