I don't eat as much as I used to, either, but that's because I can't. My old stomach won't take the kind of huge meals I ate in my 20's and 30's.

I have to watch my blood sugar so I generally eat less and have more meals but smaller portions. 🙂

There was a study done on mice which showed mice that were fed a very spartan diet lived a lot longer then mice that were allowed to eat as much as they wanted.

Yes it means overeating in general is not good for you..... especially if you are a mouse. 😉

Generally though the transfer of things is not always correct.

There were cases of the "Frozen Addict" people who abused drugs and ended up with a Parkinson like disease. They tested the drugs in question on mice and nothing happened. So they thought it must be some other cause at first like a virus, bacteria, fungus from the needles. Turns out it was the drugs. It was a minor impurity in the drugs that caused deterioation in a part of the human brain that caused the Parkinson like syptoms. The mice just did not have the same reaction to that impurity.
