Yeah.I may try some artist oils as well. I am gonna ask if oils can be used over acrylic paints on a model forum/. 🙂

MIG Productions has an oil based paint system. I think the owners of that company know a lot of modelers use acrylic paints these days.

I know oil based paints will eat through model tires and tracks that are rubber. 😱

Oil based systems are largely organic so rubber being organic you can see thats not a good place to be. Acrylics are largely water based so they are friendlier to organic things like rubber and plastic. 🙂

I bought a few myself. I think they are tricky to use. You have to add just the right amount of pigment. Too much and it looks too intense or gloppy. Too little and you cant really see any effect. 😀 😛
