the serious discussions thread

I don't have to give the devil rays their "props"/respect, but I will. They are a fast scrappy team
and I wish them luck against the Yankees and Boston and Baltimore because next time they meet the Jays they are going to get their "butts handed to them"
Blue Jay style.
:triangle: :evilha:

The D'Rays are seriously fast, but if you keep Crawford and Lugo off the bases, they aren't too threatening :wow:

When we do make the playoffs, just say nothing. You will lose the right to talk until next year. And while you have comments about everyone else's teams, the Mets aren't making any waves, either.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it
I happen to be the Mets biggest critic. I am not watching these games through rose colored glasses. I happen to be very fair and objective. Sadira could tell you that. I watch these games to try and watch for any edge a team might or might not have. Your team has a great staff and yet they are a game over .500. The Mets you said after Pedro has no one. But the Mets are at .500. Pedro is not pitching every other game. The Mets Jose Reyes has a .280 on base % for a lead-off guy. That stinks. Reyes and Wright make way to many errors. The Mets run the bases like their house is on fire and that gets them tagged out a lot. I lose no right's to comment when you know as well as I that I am right. With your staff you should be 10 games over .500 injuries notwithstanding. Derrek is the MVP in my mind for the National League and I am praying he gets the triple crown. I really do understand your Cubs better than you do Natural. So as I said before Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

This is seriously turning into a baseball thread.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. 😀 😀

One of my boys said there was manure on the soccer field today, plus one new player had really bad BO.

Let's make one thing crystal clear: You will not now nor will you ever know the Cubs better than I. I have watched them every day for years. And to correct you, the goal was to tread water until we get all out people back, and we have them all back except for Nomar, which will be in about 2-3 weeks. And now we are ready to take off, and lets see if teams can beat us when we're fully healthy. Besides, all the NL East teams had a chance to have a healthy lead in the wild card, but since they are beating themselves up, a perfect opportunity to slip right in. Don't worry, you'll have a chance to sit right with the Mets and watch us in the playoffs.

The pipe is handed right back at ya to smoke 😛

I seriously need to get out some popcorn so I can watch TF4F and NT banter some more in comfort :jester: :blaugh:

I seriously think that it is amusing to watch a Cubs fan and a Mets fan go at it. 😀

i seriously don't know anything about baseball or american football whichever it was you were discussing about mets and cubs

I seriously wish you would stop using injuries for your teams lack of consistance. Every team goes through it. Ask the Braves. They fielded a minor league team against the Cubs( expect for Andruw Jones ) and they squashed you guys in 4 straight. Your team is middle of the road like mine. And it is my prediction that in the end both of our teams will be on the outside looking in. That is being very objective. :wavingguy

My team is sinking, like a rock, out of sight and way below .500. 🙁 🙁
