Ok, tickling community...speak up! We've had our times in the past where we've all had our focus drawn to problems, questions, complaints etc. about our humble abode, so let's flip the coin.

What is it that keeps you coming back to the TMF in particular? What floats your boat about our little corner of cyberspace? It can be anything, as long as it's positive. I'm curious about what has drawn so many here. Is it the pics? The discussion? The chat? Combinations of these? Here's your chance to join the circle and sing kumbaya...

I'd like to get as many members of our community involved in this thread as possible, so don't be shy. Mods, veterans, newbies...chime in!

As far as I'm concerned, I consider the TMF my "home base" on the Web, so to speak. It's probably the sense of community and belonging that kept me coming back after I accidentaly cruised through here back in the ezboard days. The TMF is a place where I feel no judgement for my lifestyle and a sense of being able to help those who aren't yet as open about things. The fact that we are so well moderated has an appeal that you can't find in too many other destinations on the Web. In fact, I doubt I'd still be here if it were a constant flame-war.

The other thing that I really like about the Forum is the contributions from all over the world. We've got artwork, fiction, true-tales and tickling discussions coming in from everywhere. Many of us who produce material either got our start here, or at least got our work out into the public eye through the TMF or one of its affiliated friends. (MTJ, ExtremeTickling, etc.)

Finally, I love the fact that we have a General Discussion area. Even though this can be the most ticklish forum to Moderate (pun intended), it shows that we are all real people with real interests who share a strong common bond. I've met and played with many people I've found on the TMF, and I've found I have a lot in common with many through GenDis and TKDis. I guess you could say it kills the notion that we're all a bunch of pervs. Well, ok...I am, but that's beside the point.

So, speak up! Let's hear it for the TMF!

😎

Good question!!!

The TMF is also my "homebase" on da net. I get a thrill just thinking about new ppl who do a search on da net for tickling (thinking they're the only one who loves it) and find the TMF - imagine that! 🙂
All of a sudden, not only are you not the "only one" but you have a brand new family of like-minded ppl! It's actually a miracle when you think about it! 😎
Well I can't speak for everyone, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of ticklephiles who come to the TMF for clips and pics. 😉
Long live the TMF!!!

Peace, Love and Light

I like many things about TMF, but let me mention just one for now: When I first found this place, and posted my first story (The Sorority F/m), I got encouragement, thanks, and (most important) understanding. A community of people who understood my fantasies, even if they didn't exactly match their own.😀

Great people, great fun, a great atmosphere. I'm in here almost every day, basically because I feel welcome, and that since I now have a like-minded group of people to share this interest with, I don't have to walk around anymore like I have a baseball stuck up my butt. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of anymore, like there was anything to be ashamed of in the first place. I leave shame for those in denial about certain things, anyway!
I'm very happy to be here.
:tickle:

I try to come on here about two or three times a week, for a lot of reasons. I like reading peoples accounts of their real life tickling experiences, I like the pics, the video clips, the discussion. The feeling I get that I am not alone with my fetish. I discovered that te ar actually people who make tickling videos, and I have even purchased a few. I think there are a lot of cool people on here, and I am grateful to the many unselfish people here who give us deprived people our dose of tickling material (Not to make anyone feel left out, because everyone who contributes is greatly appreciated by me, but Rocking: YOU DA MAN!!! lol) It's just a great website all around!

I hope you don't mind that I've quoted you Dave, but I agree with you completely and I couldn't have made these points any better.

I would just add a couple of things.

There are a couple of guys on here that I have so much in common with concerning our thoughts on tickling, that it's scary. I've greatly enjoyed corresponding with them (albeit infrequently), because it helped me accept some things about myself that I had trouble with before.

This forum has given me a venue for posting a few fictional stories. Writing these has been a great outlet for some of my fantasies. I guess it kinda jump-started my imagination too. Writing fiction has re-sparked creativity in other areas of my life that have nothing to do with tickling or sex.

What I like about the TMF? Several points:

Most of all, it gave me the chance to meet a lot of fellow tickle-fans online, and some even in real life. I knew there had to be a "scene" somewhere, because of the tickle mags and vids, but before the TMF, they remained anonymous for me.

The TMF also gave me the chance to bring readers to my stories, which I had originally only written for myself; I knew of no place where to make them public to likeminded people. And the friendly response to my stories encouraged me to write more.

I also enjoy to discuss topics here (in GenDisc.) about completely tickle-unrelated things, learning about other people's views, and getting to know my fellow ticklefans better.

The TMF also showed me the flip side of the coin, especially during my year as a mod. I learnt a lot of completely new things there, and it also enabled me to catch a glimpse "behind the curtains", how such internet forums are managed and how problems are handled.

But the really important aspect is: THE PARTICIPANTS ! What would the TMF be without all the different people? An empty shell, just another consumption media, with no chance to bring in my own views and experiences.

My special thanks go to Psycho, who created this wonderful forum, and to Jeff and Myriads, who made it a lasting institution and held the banner up even through the most difficult times, when the TMF was in danger of going the way of so many other internet places: into oblivion.

I like getting to "know" the various personalities that frequent here and then getting to a form some lasting friendships and actually meeting many in person.

It is a place to have fun...agree...disagree...learn from one another...and grow.

I like the way it brings ogether people who felt strange and ostracised by "normal" society and makes them realise that they're not alone.

I like the interaction and the chance to meet like minded people, and the chats. Even though i'm "new" to the forum i still see that alot of people think their weird or strange for having a tickling fetish or obsession, and being in here kinda quells that feeling, I know it does for me.🙂

I like this site because it is about TICKLING! YES I love tickling! Please everyone post more video clips and pictures of women being tickled. TY.

TRUE Friendship...

I met some of my best friends on TMF. I can't imagine my life without them.

I like the fact that people can share their true selves here without fear. Though there are a few who like to complain and judge others, for the most part it's pretty good here...much better than some places I've seen.

I like the fact that there are enough people who are honest and want to do something other than play around to keep things going. That is a big plus and what (IMHO) keeps this place alive. It's those folks who I try to really get to know and form friendships with.

I enjoy gabbing with people in general. But, the biggest draw for me is when they share more than "I like to tickle" I guess that's why I spend more time in general discussion than anywhere else.

All in all, I think it's a great place and am very appreciative of what Jeff has provided here.

I wasn't going to post this, but given how some people felt the need to whinge about how terrible the forum is given its harsh dictatorship an' all, I thought I may as well speak up.

What do I like most about the TMF?

Freedom.

*starts playing "Battle Hymn of the Republic*

The great thing about the TMF is that, basically, no matter what aspect of our little "hobby" you're into, there's a place here for you. Want to stalk... uh, "compile data" on celebrity ticklishness? We have a forum for that. Want to post pictures? We have a forum for that, too. Want to chat? Well, sometimes we have that. (😉)

...And the great thing about it is, people are, with some exceptions, pretty much left alone to pursue whatever tickling-related interests they have. With very few exceptions (minors, etc) the mods, or other users, don't come down and say "Look, that's stupid, knock it off. People are tired of hearing about your website/ticklish sister/video company - and while we're at it, stop asking people to tell you stories about how they tickled their babysitter last night". And if anyone did, say, decide to go to the Polls forum and berate everybody for wasting their time putting up polls on how to tickle Britney Spears, they'd probably get in trouble for it. Overall, we're a pretty non-judgemental group, and everyone is welcome... even wet blankets. If they weren't, they probably would have been banned by now, so there ya go. (I *have* been on forums where people got banned just because the "clique" decided they didn't like them, even if the person wasn't doing anything wrong.) Prior to the chat change (and to some extent, even after), the room was usually home to more people with F/F in their nick than anyone else. Where else can you see this? If they weren't accepted, would they have stayed?

Freedom. 's the best thing about the TMF, and if you disagree with me, you're free to say so. Which proves my point anyway, I think.

*turns off the record player*

carry on, folks.

Atmosphere...

Not the combination of oxygen/hydrogen and trace gases so much...more the attitude and goal of the forums. Those who advocate an end to moderation think they would prosper in a wide open shootout....but the "might makes right" group would only achieve destruction of a community, never a growing inclusive atmosphere. There would be 5 nattering nabobs of negativity left eventually, and soon an empty URL. Perfect...no. Good? Damn sure is. Is there better? Haven't seen it. I'd rather work to improve problem areas, even if it means taking baby steps forward or making such slow inroads as to be nearly undetectable. That's what I like most...striving towards being a bit better...eventually.

I'll keep it short and sweet as possible, though I feel most of what I'll say has been said already. It's a great place where you can share your ticklish desires to the whole community, and people are on the same sort of wavelength as you. It's well moderated, so spammers and flame wars are kept away as much as possible. Plus, many get along here so well, and respect each other, whether it be contributions, information or a good laugh...

It's also far better than that AMT debacle which I have never visited...

what i like about this place is the community aspect of it. like all of us have felt at one time or another, we didnt know there were others into tickling. imagine the joy you felt when you discovered that you were not alone.

i got to correspond with a few people here, and even meet a few TMF'ers, and that is a wonderful thing. this place is also a place where i can let my imagination flow, as i write a lot of stories. i feel proud to see my name in "lights" when i post a story. it also gives me a statisfaction when people read my stories and respnd to them, as that lets me know that i have entertained someone. i like looking at and reading other's works. this place is a great place for a "ticklephile". it lets you know that you are not alone and EVERYONE is welcomed here.

i also want to give a big thanks to the moderators. they recieve flak sometimes, but i hope that it never deters them away from what they love to do. they do an excellent job here and i for one appreciate the hard work that they do. i can only imagine how much time they have to spend on this board to make sure it is running fine. THANK YOU.

Bravo Q!!! Let the miserable buggers who gripe about moderation take a looooooong look at AMT. The place has it's good points. But it's also a hotbed for slander, libel and downright unchecked bile. The TMF? It has it's bad points sometimes, but none of the above are among them. Anything beyond sharp critiscism is blatted.

Nuff said. Now let's share out the Wuv!!!

Cybertickling, the great people, cybertickling, the talented authors, cybertickling, the talented artists, cybertickling, the great clips and images.....

...did I mention I was into cybertickling?

But seriously folks, the TMF is like a home away from home. My computer was barely out of it's box when I was typing "tickling" into a search engine. It was the first placed I visited on the net, and, for interacting with like minded people, I've never seen it's equal.

i pretty much like everything. i really like the people and the mods and the forums and everything lol.

It's one big MIRACLE!!! PERIOD!!! That's what it is folks!!! This place CHANGES PEOPLE!!! Think about it!!! 😉

TA :cool2:

Actually, Terra's right, it DOES change you. Well, it may not change YOU, but it does change your life... :couch:

I like the people here, pure and simple.

And just to be contrary (I was a bit peeved that the negative side has more posts than this positive one)...

If I want to put a pink poodle in my signature, I can - as long as it meets the size guidelines.

If I want to respond to every thread, ad nauseum....I can do that, too.

To those who hate "censorship" so much, why do these freedoms annoy you? And how would you who hate to be censored feel if you couldn't post or add a signature? Ok, enough griping....I've got cats and dogs to take care of for now.

problem is, des, most people don't comprehend the concept of monitor resolution. What takes up a square inch on your screen may take up five inches on mine. I've had to disable signatures entirely because many peoples' signatures take up my entire screen. There's also people who put five images - all of them meeting the size guidelines individually - stacked on top of one another.

now, the *choice* of images? nobody should be mocking that. signatures are an expression of who you are... and if you want people to know you're big, gaudy, and have to rely on clipart, so be it. 😀

A few things were brought up in another thread that I felt I should respond to. I find that this is the most logical place for that response.....

One of the things I like the most about the TMF is the opportunity to participate and interact with people with whom I share things in common.

Without the creation of this place....

I never would have known that "gatherings" existed.

I never would have had the opportunity to make great friends like Ann and Drew and a host of others that I have been fortunate enough to meet personally.

I never would have even thought of sharing my feelings about tickling with my wife( who has made my life sooooo very fulfilling and fun over the last several years).

And I certainly would not have thought of making the attempt to "post" on other boards or newsgroups that made you an easy target for ridicule.

In short, there would have been no "venray1" persona at all had it not been for the creation of this place. I owe a lot to those who founded and kept it going for so long and will do all that I can to see it continue.
