I did read the new quote, it didn't come off as sarcastic.

As for being too shy, I can relate. I used to be like that, and had very low self esteem on top of it.

4 years ago, I joined a website that is for fans of a musical style called "freestyle" (not rap-80's - 90's dance) and they planned a get together at a show going on in NYC.

I mustered up all my courage, and walked into that show, and ended up meeting a great group of people. In the past 4 years, I've gone bowling, played softball, gone onstage at two shows in NYC, and traveled to Florida with these people who now consider me a friend. I've also met the artists who perform this music and gotten my cds signed by Lisa Lisa, Exposè, Sweet Sensation, Cover Girls, George LaMond, and many others.

You should really try to overcome that shyness. Great things could come of it.
