This is What My Soprano Voice Sounds Like.

Having sung and trained with professional singers, I can say you have a wonderful voice. I loved to hear you. ANd to put that talent with your sexy looks. I so wish I were a young man again to chase after you.

Lovely voice! And a possible song for you...

Keep up the good work!

Libertine and I had an idea for a song that you might like to try- it's a 17th century song, to be sung by a young lady, who should be pretending she does not know the double meanings of the lyrics, therefore playing the innocent. It was on a CD titled "The Art of the Bawdy Song"

Lovely.

Don't suppose you can reach deep enough to sing "Habanera" can you?

And if so, what would it take to get you to sing it?

Christopher

Ok, please describe the difference between soprano and mezzo.

I never did no schooling fer mewzik 😉

The differences between the ranges always confused me. I know bass is low, alto is high, and tenor is somewhere between...lol

Thanks!
Christopher

I will use Carmen for examples it has a mezzo and a soprano in it.

Carmen is a mezzo here is an aria.

Here is the soprano Michaela. Her voice sits higher.

Here is an example of a contralto form Verdi's a Il Trovatore. Notice how heavy and dark the voice is compared to a mezzo and soprano.

I hope this helps. Of course I didn't even get into the complex Fach system!

Ah, ok, gotcha.

How much do you like Baroque Italian? 😀

Thanks!
Christopher

Oh my....oh.....oh my. You're Christine from Phantom Of The Opera!...but better 😉

Oh wow thanks, but the role I would play/dying to play in Phantom is La Carlotta. Of course I've been known to burst out singing Wishing you Were Some How Here Again. If I go to NEST I will sing this song. I found an opera karaoke of it! Maybe I'll flirt with guys in the audience 😉. I love G&S!
