Tickle or Ticklish, which is sexier?

Stephen

Oh yeah can I ever relate to that.... whenever I read ticklish in a book/dictionary I used to go all red , and start tingling...... even now I'll sometimes still look up ticklish in books. The best book( non fiction) featuring tickling I ever read was Havelock Elis's "The Psychology of Sex"(I believe someone posted excerpts of it elsewhere on the TMF) which had long descriptions of foot fetishism and tickling( and the supposed causes for being ticklish). I had to use it for a psych class project when I was attending college in NJ, and couldn't put the damn book down! LOL

Btw Stephen,tu cigilteach an? 😉

Psych

I so missed my calling, lol, shoulda been a psych major. I could be my own case study 😉

Ticklish!
I too can't hear, see or speak the word without blushing and staring at the floor. I too used to look up tickle/ticklish in the dictionary as well. So good to know that I'm not the only one!
On the subject of books with tickling scenes in them, has anyone read The White Hotel by D.M.Thomas?(it's fiction)It's got a short but great tickling scene with a couple ganging up on another woman.

TICKLISH

Love the word Ticklish. Drives me nuts to hear a girl say it! 😉 And yes, I used to look up "tickle, ticklish" in the dictionary as a young lad 🙂 I found a book in a store once called "Encyclopedia of Unusual Sexual Practices" or something like that. They had a section on tickling and that's where I found out that it was an actual "thing" and I wasn't the only person LOL

So wonderful to find Validation

and realize that you're not the only one out there with this strange desire, isn't it? 😎
Heck, I'm a BIG bibliophile and spend quite a bit of my free time in Chapters(a Candaian bookstore chain, kinda like Barnes and Noble and Borders in the States). I STILL oftten find myself in the psychology and Sexuality sections perusing sex manuals, essays, ect to find mentions of tickling. One book I read was called Different Loving. This book was devoted to fetishes and had quite a bit about foot fetishes and tickling(even mentioning some tickling websites if i remember correctly). Each time I read about tickling/ticklish people the result is the same,tho- shivery, toe curling "warm fuzzies in my belly", the kind that first made me realize that I felt "weird" about tickling waaay back when I was like 4 yrs old.
It's so wonderful that we have a place like this to connect with others who share the same passion! 😀

You can add me to the list of those who used to look up the word 'ticklish' in the dictionary. I also looked it up in the encyclodedias and in library sources. There was not much information on the topic. Recent research studies and groups like this have helped me to better understand and be comfortable with my ticklishness.

Depends. Ticklish by itself is more of a turn-on. But, as I am more of a ticklee, to here someone say "I'm going to tickle you" would have the same effect.

This thread is really the coolest I've seen here, kudo's to all for such interesting stuff!
For me both words have always had a huge impact but in slightly different ways. "Tickle" always made me think of myself or someone else tickling somebody. But "Ticklish" especially the words "ticklish feet" REALLY get me. I can literally see and feel bare, smooth, pink soled feet being tickled, toes srcunching. I can feel the tickling sensations. But unlike Celticrose, it wasn't the warm fuzzies I felt, it was more like a catch in the throat! Like Celticrose and others, I also used to constantly look up the words, Tickle, ticklish and fetish too🙂 I still remember Websters definition, light stroking that causes involuntary twitching, laughter, etc lol!!
For those interested, the book "The Art of Sensual Female Dominance" has a nice chapter devoted to foot fetish. No tickling though🙁
Thanks Again!!

Cool Thread!!!

I'll stick to the original question. Which is sexier? "Ticklish" wins by a mile easily! If you think about it, it seems you hear "ticklish" less then you hear "tickle"...and less used means more sexy!

TA :cool2:

I am amazed at the number of people who say they used to look up those words in the dictionary, since I thought I was the only one who would do such a thing. I was really shocked, however, when I looked up "ticklish" and saw my picture...😀

Definately "Ticklish"! If a girl says "Don't tickle me!" she didn't say she was ticklish and might not be; she just doesn't want to be tickled.
