Tickle Theater chatbox

Well I posted it in general thread and I said to myself why not here too...
I am looking for approval and blessing from mods and owner of this site so I can start making TT junior chatbox... I hope it will one day be a part of this site, but for now it will be on some other place...
If it is ok by the crew I would like to start making it tomorrow...

My first reaction would be that we can't approve the use of the TickleTheater name in the site in a way that would make it seem that we sponsor the chatbox. As we would have no control over the chatbox we can't sponsor it or anything like that (If it is on an external server). I have no qualms about you making one and, perhaps, using the TT name PROVIDED THAT you note somewhere on it that "TickleTheater.com and its staff are not associated with and do not endorse or sponsor this site". If you didn't use the TT name anywhere you wouldn't need that. I only say that you'd need the disclaimer due to our lack of control over the chatbox. Were something to happen in the chatbox we can't leave an avenue for it to come back to the TT if we couldn't prevent it in the first place there.

I'll PM Missy Val so she can add her thoughts when she logs on tomorrow morning.

Who said anything about you guys not having control? Of course you will be lend the password for ownership... I am not power hungry maniac you know... I will make it today and you give you opinion about it ok 🙂

HDS is right. Unless only current TT admins would have access to the full controls, you should put a disclaimer on it as HDS describes, or at the very least place the word "unofficial" in front of terms such as "Tickle Theater" or "TT" so that users will know that tickletheater.com does not own, and is not responsible for, the chatbox.

I don't have anything against you guys having control over chat... but then there is a problem...
When I am making a chatbox at that site I have to give email adress. He will send any password changes and anything to that adress... so you see unless one of you want to make a chat box all by himself I will have to put my nose where it doesn't belong 😉

You misunderstand the issue. In order for us to completely sponsor a chatbox we'd have to arrange for its hosting, operation, and oversight ourselves. This is how the TMF runs its chatroom and, because they have a dedicated mod staff in said chatroom, they can call it the "official" TMF chatroom. We've no problem with you opening one; just put "Unofficial" in the name and all is well.

Well I must admit that I am a little bit too pushy... so I came up with idea... again here is the link to the site where you can make chatbox... www.xat.com
If admins conclude this is good idea (cause now they can control it fully) I would like to see the official TT chatbox...

I must admit that I am starting to feel strange lately here... I feel that where ever I post something I became unseen... so what happened with my proposal?

A chatroom has been attempted here twice before. The first time it was removed due to lack of use. The second time it was also never used but was removed when a board software update broke it. The TT is not chatroom friendly it seems. 'Tis not you at all.
