If I was producing my own clip I would protect myself by having the model come in and do a test. If they are as ticklish as they claim to be than they can prove it with a little tickle test. If the don't pass it don't hire them.
You're not the only one to think of this. It just doesn't work out as well as one would assume. Largely because they expect SOME re-embursement for their time. And you can go thru a bunch 15 or 20 dollar screen tests before you find a suitable girl. After 5 bum screen tests (if you want high quality, expect an attrition rate at least that high), you're out a hundred bucks, plus motel room(s) if you dont have a facility (and just cause you live alone in an apartment doesn't mean you can film there), so you're down a couple hundred bucks, and STILL don't have a viable model. Unless you live in a honkin huge city, or a really economically depressed big city, your talent pool is pretty limited anyway. Now, if they're close by, you may get some free ones. Or if you're willing to drive. In which case more overhead for a girl that may not show, and odds are won't be suitable. Or she drives, in which case you gotta pay for her gas in all likelyhood (only fair).
Some girls just freeze when they know the camera is rolling. Some girls are great fakers in a screen test, and then can't sustain it in the film, and you realize you've been had.
I thought it was simple. Place ads, contact models, do screentests, and film the killer ticklish girls. It should be that simple. It just isn't. Some guys get lucky. Most guys who want only the best material have to wade thru a lot of crap before getting one. Some guys are willing to put ok, but not real good stuff on screen, and those are the profitable folks. Oh, they get great ones from time to time, but if that's the focus, you're at best gonna be slightly ahead of break even.
Sometimes you get lucky, and stumble across a girl in your normal life that is wildly ticklish, and talk her into a video. I ran across one I'd love to film. She's willing to, too. She is pure joy to tickle (except her feet, not a lot of great resonse there), but people would whine and cry beause she doen't look like a pornstar or a model. You wouldn't throw her out of bed because of her body, but she lacks that super-hotness. She's also missing a couple teeth (not in a toothless skank sorta way, and they're not exactly in the front of her grill), and everyone would be so pissed about it. But the girl is a magnificent tickle. I'd love to tickle her on a weekly (or more often) basis. Even tho her being ticklish like she is, is more important to me than her looks (she ain't bad, 'cept for the teeth), other people would bitch.
These producers need to take a little more time and making a good video versus one that will 'Just do'.
Some of these guys live off their videos. These "just do" videos keep them off the street and fed. A video that is "good enough" will make money. When you average it out from a financial point of view, they have the winning formula. Guys like us aim more at a boutique market. People who want only the finest, only the best. Problem is finding the best usually incurs a lot of expense. And the market just isn't big enough to make it profitable. The more porn-oriented stuff just sells at a higher profit.
I don't like it one bit, but as I said, I can't begrudge the guys for wanting a roof over their heads and food to go with it.
Not that all companies suffer too greatly from this, some are being profitable. I'll bet a lot of them, tho, have more mainstream adult businesses on the side, or depend on naked titties, vibrators, and sexuality in the scenes. And then there are those lucky few who put out great matieral with and without titties and vibrators. I know for my part Charlee just fries my brain. Doesn't matter if she's naked or clothed, the woman drives me wild. Tickling her would be a huge giant technicolor dream come true, and just absolutely two-fisted awesome. And I wish I woulda got a copy of her doing the self-tickle while they had it available. grrrr...
But like I said, if you want to produce nothing but the finest, highest quality, you gotta be willing to pay a lot of money to find the perfect gems. have a really good day job with lots of disposable income, and lots of time.
