"Tickled" (doc) airs on HBO beginning 2/27 with added footage

The co-director of the documentary "Tickled" announced that HBO will be airing the film beginning 2/27. Along with the doc, an additional 20 minutes of footage with be presented, concentrating on the whirlwind of controversy generated after the release of the movie. I'll be most interested in that part, for sure!

I just missed it at the True False Film festival last year in Missouri. I heard it was a pretty good documentary.

You could buy it off of Amazon long before it was aired on HBO. My husband and I bought it. I don't see where this documentary hurts the tickle fetish at all. I felt It was pretty much just the story of a sad scary sociopath. Any fetish could've been substituted and the documentary would have been just as scary and shocking. I also personally think the main guy who is the head of the Competitive Endurance Tickling doesn't have much of a tickle fetish either. I think for him it is more of a power trip and loving good looking young guys being vulnerable/giving up control.

But see... I can't tell what I'm about to purchase. Is the link you provided for a stream of the movie or a dvd? I never do online purchasing. I have looked at this quite a few times already but... Idk what the hell I'm doing when it comes to this stuff.

And... is it like... a one time stream or... I mean... this is why I prefer dvd's -if I'm
going to spend $15+ I want the option to watch the movies again. Not... I have to stream it once and then if I want to watch it again in 2 years I have to repurchase it. I also don't have boat loads of memory to download. I don't understand!!

Sorry I should've said this is not a DVD. It is an online download that once you buy it you can watch it over and over and I believe you must have an amazon account.

It's worth a look. The fetish is really only a mechanism for the sociopath; as pd2 says, any fetish could have been substituted. It's really only about 20 min worth of the 90 minute doc. This is about a pop culture journalist who thought he found a cute-weird story about tickling contests, and fell into a rabbit hole.

I've always said it's not the sexual desires people have that screw them up, it's the lengths they go to in order to satisfy them without "getting caught" that get them into trouble. (In this guy's case, being outed as gay).

Without his money and the internet, he could have been another John Wayne Gacy.
