Hi Folks,

I wanted to bring up two topics that I really enjoy. One is Tickling. The other is Music. The two combined are simply great! In my imagination, I have created wonderful musicals, with tickling as the theme.

I love to sing (not bad if I do say so), so I have a penchant for music that moves me. Have you ever wanted to be tickled with your favorite song playing in the background? Or just a song that you like and have always thought would be great to be tickled to? Let me site and example.

I have always thought that "Flight of the Bumblebee" would be a wonderful tickling song. It's fast, the song tempo varies and it just fun! I imagine this tickling bee buzzing around the room, tickling people.

Take a tickler who plays and instrument for instance, with long fingers. A musician knows how to keep tempo, so they can keep terrific time on your tickle spots, while the bumblee song does it's thing. Musician, or not, most people enjoy music and those of us here who love tickling, probably would get a kick out of the combination. I'm sure this has probably been brought up in previous threads, but I wanted to give my perspective. What do you think?

What is your favorite song to be tickled to? What does the combination of music and tickling mean to you? Does a parTICKular song, or beat make you feel more ticklish? Please share!

Rebel Rouser by Duane Eddy I think would be an "awesome" song to tickle to

It's not a favorite piece of music or anything, but I've always felt that Hokey Pokey by Brave Combo was a terrific ticklin' tune.

I have fantasized about many different songs. The only one that's sticking in my mind at the moment is Mandy Moore's "One Way Or Another"

"One way or another, i'm gonna find ya.
I'm gonna getcha, getcha, getcha, getcha.
One way or another, i'm gonna win ya.
I'm gonna getcha, i'll getcha, getcha, getcha..."

:tickle:

Oooo! Good call luvn2laf! That's a great ticklin' tune! I've never heard the Mandy Moore version, but I love the Blondie one.

Rebel Yell by Billy Idol might be a fun song to tickle someone to.

How about the Oompah Loompah songs from the original "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" movie(I haven't seen the new one):

Oompah-Loompah, doopity do, I've got another puzzle for ...

Definitely Helena by My Chemical RomanceTo be tickled like mad during the super upbeat chorus as it heightens more and more and more...would be awesome indeed.

:xpulcy:

Well this was a tuff one, luvn2laf has I believe picked the perfect tune to tickle with. I'll have to keep thinking.

Actually, before one of our last gatherings, there were a lot of requests for "Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall". That clarinet is very inspiring for generating speed and acuracy.
I saw a tickle video once (Cal Star, I believe) that had dixieland banjo as the theme music, this sounded to be quite sucessful.
As for myself, I've been cueing up some barrelhouse and ragtime piano cds in the player before we get going on some fun.

Yeah, "Sing, Sing, Sing" from the Carnegie Hall gig would be great, not least because it's long. "South Rampart Street Parade" would be lovely as well, Bob Crosby's original or any dixieland band.
Someone mentioned "Flight of the Bumble Bee." Freddy Martin's swing arrangement entitled "Bumble Boogie" would work nicely, too.

Either the 1812 Overture or most music from Phantom of the Opera. That music's just wicked-sounding. There's energy, there's evil, there's suspense, there's drama.

Perfect tickling music to me! 😀 :woot: :wavingguy

'Let me Tickle Your Fancy' by Jermaine Jackson
The lyric is . .
Let me tickle your fancy. Let me excite your soul.
Well, I changed it a bit. I like to sing it like this . . .
Let me tickle your feet and . . let me excite your soles.

The beginning of 'Bubba O'Reilly' by the Who. The piano (I think it may be an organ or hopsichord) is so fast & it has that 'Poking' feel to it. Like you're poking some really ticklish ribs & sides.

Isn't 'Flight of the Bumblebee' the theme from the TV show 'The Green Hornet'? Co-starring Bruce Lee as Kato. Yes. THAT Bruce Lee.
I'm not sure but I think Al Hirt was the trumpeteer on that recording.

Bart, that's a synthesizer you hear in the opening of "Baba O'Riley." And, yes, it was Al Hirt who played the jazzy variation on "Flight of the Bumblebee" for the TV version of the Green Hornet. The old radio series had used the original classical arrangement of the tune. Any of those pieces would be splendid accompaniment to intense tickling. For a more playful session, what about the "Pink Panther" theme?
