In Russian fairy tales, there is a princess named Tsarevna /princess/ No-Laugh, because she had never laughed and never enjoyed anything. The tsar /king/ declared that anyone who could make her smile would marry her, so numerous healers and wizards did their best to amuse and entertain her, but they all failed.

At this point I thought, well, why nobody came up with such an obvious solution as to tickle her a little? It looked like the royal family was desperate to break the spell and make the princess laugh for the first time in her life, so why there wasn't any quack doctor who would tie nubile Tsarevna No-Laugh to the bed and tickle her until the peals of her laughter drifted all over the palace?

But in the fairy tale it took a long and complicated chain of events until one handsome guy finally married No-Laugh Princess after she smiled at him having fallen over in the courtyard, so he was the first man who made her laugh.

It would be a beast from under the bed, you would never see it fully, but tentacles would come up from all directions, slipping under the covers to tease all your tender spots. Not exactly a fantasy creature, but if anyone remembers Thing from the Addams Family, I have had ideas of a bunch of these 'Things' attacking a helpless, ticklish female, and doing a gang tickling on them. Some of the 'Things' holding them down, while the rest look after the tickling.

That's a good one! Whenever I saw him do tasks, I wondered why he never tickled anyone to get their attention. I also imagined Thing is a piece of an Addam, and that his whole body is cut into more enchanted bits and pieces. Perhaps there's another hand or a foot walking around to bother but he probably wouldn't be as functional.
