I don't get it!

I thought the point of tickling was tickling. I didn't realize there were so many stipulations, barriers, and taboos. I just like to tickle pretty, bare feet attached to nice women that are genuinly ticklish. Everything else is extra. And although extras are appreciated, they are by no means required. However, criticizing those that are different is neither appreciated nor required. In fact, it's a bit elitist and a lot rude. I remember a few short years ago when the entire concept of tickling was considered freakish and weird which would have made us all outcasts. Let the young, old, big, small, plain, and plaid enjoy themselves by chasing whatever dream they think they can catch. As long as they aren't cutting a path through your yard to get there, leave them alone.

Here's the thing. I'm no historian or anything but I've done a little checking.

From what I know, tickling media BEGAN out of pornography media. Therefore the models were always the chesty yet otherwise underweight (and buttless *snicker*) variety that you would ordinarily see in pornography. And so it generally has been the same with all sorts of tickling media. Tickling stories which all begin with the blonde, blue eyed 110 standard(zzzZZZZzzzzzZZzzzz). Oh....sorry....where was I? Oh yeah. Videos and pictures and cartoons all with that blonde or blue eyed...110 pound beau.....zzzzZZZZZZzzzz. Oops.
Anyway, this is MOST evident when you look at tickling media today and how it generally REFUSES to let go of any pornographic roots and continues to be sexualized as much as possible, even when many of us think that tickling is all about FUN. Look at the stuff that's out: Tickling NUDE women, using vibrators to show orgasms in what's supposed to be a "TICKLING" video...and the same kind of ticklee over and over and over and over. As I put it in another thread, variety is good. ALL kinds of women, ALL kinds of tickling, sexual and non-sexual, all body types, all skin tones, all hair types. I applaud producers like Andre (can't wait until ANA gets up and rolling again) who have always expanded things from that boring norm.


You know what the worst thing is? over on another board (who's name I won't mention) where a convo like this couldn't really happen, popele would say things like "If you don't like it, don't buy it." Gee....funny....right here, we have a lot of people voicing their opinions about what they definitely WOULD like to see and WE'RE the wrong ones?!?!?!


Then again, peoples, maybe it is time to express change with the almighty dollar while still keeping the media coming. IF you like videos, only buy those that DO feature plus sized or normative ticklers and ticklees or ticklees and ticklers of color or all of the various types that we've said we would like to see. Producers will have to notice that "Hey, 105 lb Scarlett's video didn't sell but 168 lb Tina's video sold off the meter! Hmmm....maybe I'll make more with her or with more ticklees like her!" They'd still get the money, we'd get the product we want in the future.

Great insight, VaTickler...most of the marketed tickling videos were made by people who never really understood the sexual side of it all...but certainly understood the bondage side LOL! It's like, "well, I heard that some people get a rise out of tickling, but how can you get that rise without stocks or chains?" And, oh, by the way, "Look, we're making a tickling video, are you ticklish?" "Not really." "Well, wing it." Is this something that you want to spend your money on? Of course not. Would people like this ever have any kind of an epiphany revealing the possible sexiness of a 200 pound woman with bright eyes and a big smile and beautiful laughter? There's a better chance of my going swimming in the Arthur Kill.
Someone I know at TMF told me that she's gonna make something herself. I don't know when that's coming out, but at least it's something for fans of the big gals. We'll know we've truly arrived when we have a healthy subcategory of this media with constant new product. May I live to see it.

Knox my friend if a vid is ever made with a truly ticklish woman over 200lbs in weight (which is only 14 stone over here and not that big actually), then I'll eat my hat. Everyone I have spoken to so far is just not interested cos they dont think it'd be a big enough seller. The usual response "folk dont get turned on by blubber".
