Well, if you're going, just be thankful you're able to. It's not ecomonically feasible for some to travel outside of the city to meet new people, let alone outside of the state to do so. I live on a budget and am afforded some novelty, but not much. This would not be one of them. Not for the time being anyways.

I understand the budget and my post did look condescending, didn't it. I am sorry. Didn't mean it to be. I hope you can attend one of these though, they really can be a wonderful time.

Sorry that I haven't been on for a few days. I've been feeling depressed here within the past week.

No kered, I think I am the one who actually owes you and desdemona an apology. At the time I wrote that message, I was a bit cranky because when I got my share of the bills for this month and saw that it was almost $100 more than what it usually is, I felt I wasn't going to be able to do much of anything from now on and a posting that I normally wouldn't even give a second thought just struck a chord in me at the time. I am sorry and do apologize for reacting the way I did.

But it turns out that nothing really increased. There were just some bills that come every quarter instead of each month, which is why it was more this month. Now for June, it's going to be less, so there's a very good chance that I still may be able to attend.

What's the deadline to place a reservation?

Um....the deadline?.....I would let BrightEyes know you are thinking of making it to the munch if things go right for you....and the deadline is probably just showing up at the place before we order stuff to munch on. At least that is how the other munches went. Some people just drop in from out of the blue.

No apology necessary. I know it can be very tough to make ends meet in this economy. I was pretty flip with my statement, but realize I drive 8+ hours to get to Philly each year and I find it well worth it (even if it constitutes my only "vacation"). I'm in a totally different phase of my life than most and I make a comfortable living. I do know finances can be challenging. We'd love to see you there if you can make it : ) And I'll even offer to pay to fill your gas tank for your return trip home.
