Isabeau, definitely no sarcasm, the comparison was positive, I've obviously had only good reason to thank you from previous posts, you've only been polite & helpful.
Redmage, very funny also. If you're comparing standard Hollywood/Mel Gibson flicks with privately filmed torture videos your previous comments are even more questionable, however well put, and as I've said I do appreciate your earlier in-depth replies explaining the economic (unfeasability?) of these videos being real. I *DID* get that, believe or not.
But as you're sick of reading, unfortunately there's no way to distinguish, and torture videos by their nature require an absolute guarantee (that they're not real, and that can't be done here I see). So they shouldn't be sold or promoted, again. I *DID also get you & others seem to be convinced, with good but not definite reason, that this stuff is faked. I'm not quite that dense, but the possibility some videos are real is still alive & kicking.
Venray, your last comment gave me more hope than most (of yours especially) for sure, if you hate the idea of someone being truly tortured as much as I do. I'm just questioning from what's presented in such detail, and the likelihood it could also lead to real abuse.
That's a perfectly valid complaint as well.
I realize I came on strong, still am depending upon the nature of the post perhaps, but as i said somewhere I had no desire to do this, I just commented upon what I saw presented clearly and as a very real possibility. If you feel the same way you should understand what SEEMS TO BE REAL torture needs to be questioned in depth.
I already stated my position, hopefully with enough variables to make it more dimensional & less trying -- I'll try not to repeat it indefinitely, though again no one
has offered absolute proof --- Until that time, this nasty crap should not be circulating.
Sadists can get their kicks without the RISK of actual assault taking place, thank you.
As I also said somewhere, snuff films come into the same category, though of course infinitely worse. If something is presented as real on the internet especially, it doesn't have Hollywood safety nets & publicity. There's too much chance it could already be or become reality. Even if 2% is real, it's not an option.
