Tickling through the genes?

I seem to remember that there was a whole section on this in the Tickled Pink book that they sell on amazon.com

they gave some long background about how people develop fetishes, with tickling described in particular (subject matter of book)

Could a genetic basis mean that we're... Mutants?

:veryhappy Cool! I'm a Mutant! It may not be enough to get me into the X-Men, but it's a start...

Beware! Many words follow.

That single line just made my day :blaugh: Man, that's GOTTA be a quote of the day.

At any rate, despite any warnings by Myriads, I did actually read his post. It seems there are two threads in this forum kind of getting at the same thing...genetics vs. environment. And I happen to agree with you 100% on this topic, Myriads.

I've also done quite a bit of research on the topic, and my best conclusion is that our genetic makeup gives us the tendency to form attachments, while our environment tends to shape the object of the attachment. So in many ways, yes it is a crap shoot, once you've actually established that chemical overload during development.

And if it is truly a crap shoot, well... not to be too smug or anything...but on the whole list of the 1,001 fetishes I could've had, I sure rolled lucky on the craps table that night :cool2: Of all the fetishes out there, I can safely say that our's (speaking from a very non objective viewpoint, naturally) is one of the most fun there is.

Now if only we can take this evolutionary leap to the next step. . . develop the ability to control the precise electric signals that fire the specific neurons in people's bodies which trigger ticklish sensations, thus enabling us to tickle anyone, anywhere, from across the room, just with a look and a thought! Even the so-called "non-ticklish" wouldn't be safe! Mwuahahahahahahaha!!! :evilha: :firedevil:
