I love your idea. Can't wait to see it, and whatever else you are working on for that matter. As for the nudity, I think I have come up with a great idea.

Have Pie kind of loosely wrap up Hong Nyong in a blanket. That way, when she changes, her arms will come through the blanket, and she will be wearing a toga. Problem solved. (Okay its not that great, but its worth a shot.)

As for including nudity in this or future pics, I would say no. After all you and me and U.N.Owen have talked about, it would just go against all of our natures. Just keep it clean, and it will still feel like your work.

Thanks, but your actually not understanding something. Hong Nyong won't be in her child-like form when tickling Pai. You seem to have forgotten that she transforms into a monster (Ran-Pao-Pao). I'm sure though, that you just overlooked that by accident. I'd never draw an underage girl (or boy) nude, or in any kind of a leud situation.


@ critterlord- Same as the above. And if I were to draw Ran-Pao-Pao with clothes, thats possible, as she was clothed even in her monster form at one point in the series.


I understand that you two want me to keep it clean, but I don't see the problem with it, and I'm in no way betraying what I am or have said. Breasts are natural, and only made dirty through perversion or ill thinking.

But one thing about having seen breasts on this character in her monster form, in the series, was almost disturbing. Because its this hulking monster...that has breasts. It just feels weird looking at it. So I may just opt to not show them, but not out of it being leud or anything. I don't see it that way.

Actually, I did realize what you meant. I know you're not proposing to show the child nude: I know you'd never do that. My point was just that it's best not to include a child at all in any image or set of images that will include nudity.

Obviously you're right that breasts are not inherently impure, and yes, since the child won't be in that actual frame, it arguably doesn't really matter. Perhaps I'm just being overcautious.

No no, I appriciate your concern. I obviously thought about it beforehand also.

But yes, its almost as if Hong Nyong is a different character when shes the monster Ran-Pao-Pao. And in that instance, shes no child at all. And the main point is that Hong Nyong won't be tickled in the nude anyways.

So theres virtually nothing wrong with this at all. Although the breast thing is starting to bother me. Its not that they are breasts, or that I'm afraid to draw them, its just that on this creature breasts look strange, and they don't fit, even though the monster is now fully grown or is transformed, or what have you.

Fortunitely for me, Ran-Pao-Pao was dressed at one time, and her clothes were not shreded. So I can use that when drawing, fortunitely. If that hadn't have happened, I'd be stuck. As far as when she's Hong Nyong, she's wearing the same clothes actually, they are just miniturized to fit her. Such a cute little thing! 🙂

Okay

I just happen to have a problem with naked breasts. It may just be my japanese heritage diplaying itself, or my respect to women, but naked breasts just embarasses me on behalf of the woman. It isn't so much a taboo in general as a taboo for me. At this point in my life, I have no sexual interests in any individual, so I prefer not to see attrabutes of females or males that have anything to do with sex, including mammarly glands. It just isn't my cup of tea.

@ critterlord- Well, thats fine. I don't think its strange or anything. In fact, thats really big of you. Something to admire, thats for sure. 🙂

I just want people to know that I wouldn't be drawing nude pictures for any other reason then to appriciate the character. Even though its a touchy subject, nudity, when drawn right and played right, can actually be very, very cute and innocent. I don't aim to perverse nudity, and if I do draw some nude pieces, it certainly won't be hentai. And if they do have that certain level of sexual suggestion thats inherent in all nude pictures, I won't seek to express it. Of course however, if the character has that kind of personality, I may draw something like that on rare occasions and by a great demand for it. I wouldn't draw it on a whim.

So, the only thing I can suggest is simply not viewing those pictures. Its a shame you would be missing them, but I wouldn't want to make you uneasy in any way, shape, or form. Then, theres always the possibility of me being able to give the 'blurred effect' around nude body parts. Another thing, that may or may not be a consolation for you, is that if I draw nude pictures, it will only be showing the breasts. I absolutely REFUSE to show the genital region. So don't worry about it too much. I'll find a way around it for you. 🙂

Thank you, it wasn't really a difficult decison at all. And anyways, these pictures won't come for some time.

Well, when I said that, I meant it in the context that people might think I was afraid of what they would think about the topic of nudity altogether, and my having applied it to my pictures. Although I'm sure some would wonder whether or not I could draw breasts effectively. I know I can, breasts are actually not difficult to draw at all. But like everyone is different, breasts are different. And thats part of what will add character to those characters I may draw in the nude. In order that I don't ruin the image of the characters, I may just create original characters, that way its no insult or disprespect to the original artists. Then again, some existing characters would benefit I believe from partially nude pictures. As I've said, its a tease if I'm drawing it for that reason. It will never be completely sexual or vulgar, and I'll feel comfortable knowing I'm not doing a disservice to the characters and the artists that created them. I'm skilled enough to know what works and what doesn't, and whats ok and whats not. Applying this knowledge to pictures that people could possibly question will allow me to redeem having drawn them, and I'll feel personally more comfortable having a theme or reason.

Bottom line, the characters wouldn't be nude for no damn reason, and an appropriate theme would be selected and therefore justifying the picture. 🙂

Damien it is, then. And I think the standards you laid out for use of nudity or partial nudity make perfect sense. As you say, it can be perfectly innocent in characters of appropriate age. Tone and context decide all.

Assuming now that the nudity issue is still a problem I assume you could always just have Ran Pao Pao dressed for example like she was during the first episode of the Divine Demon saga "The Key".

But the nudity issue comes I assume from Yuzo Takada starting off as a hentai artist.

By the way, I added another poll to my group. Could you all (even those that haven't posted here or there) vote? I'd appriciate it. The poll will obviously show me which characters the fans are currently interested (or not interested) in. The poll only allows one vote, so please make a definite decision, and not a random one, or a vote based only on a majority.

I believe you, and the others can see very well at least the visual difference as far as quality is concerned between my pictures, and my competition's pictures.

While my competition has the advantage of being able to give their members the quick fix at any expense, I believe what I'm doing is better for me, my members, and the overall good of the community I am now creating with the aid of people that think as I do. The numbers for our cause grow each day, and one day we will tip the balance and therefore no longer be the neglected underdogs of this existing community. The way we choose to view tickling won't be underestimated, and grips will surely be broken. This is war gentleman.

So, "it is with great reluctance that I answer to this calling. I love tickling, I love the community. The power you give me, I will lay down when this crisis is abated.

As my first act with this new authority, I will create a grand army of tickling purists to counter the on-going threats of the obsessive fetishists!"

And and as the poll goes, I tried to narrow it down as much as I feel I could. If alot of people vote 'other', then I'm not on the mark, and need to keep inquiring. Although, I am a little displeased with the fact that its not really my responsibility in full. If people know I'm an artist, and know what they want, they should come to me and suggest it. It shouldn't all be up to me. We're a community, we need to act like it.

And I hope so. It is true the selection of GOOD quality anime isn't very good on TV. It almost shocks me sometimes when people don't know anything about the series I draw from or talk about. I mean, they are among the most popular and best animes out there. TV stations are truely doing anime an injustice.

I can respect that easily enough. I feel the same way about my stories. That's why I only put a new one out every other month or so. They take a lot of time, a lot of work, and a lot of energy... and since I do have a real life, much of which is also spent writing, I don't have much of any of those left over.

As for your war for the purity of tickling... sounds okay to me. But should we go to the security council first? 😀

I'm afraid, when it comes to anime, I must plead almost total ignorance. What I know about it really comes from the tickling cartoons people have done, and the clips people have posted. I can't honestly say I've ever watched any of it, except maybe that badly dubbed space cruiser sci-fi thing that was on around 20 years ago. (Star Blaster? Something like that?)

Basically, I don't watch very much TV at all, except for documentaries, Star Trek, and the Simpsons (my guilty secret). I looked at the poll on your group, but I'm afraid I just don't know the characters -- except that I've seen 2 of them used in other tickling images.

I do like anime style images, very much. But I just take them as they come...

And its ok that you don't know much about anime. You simply haven't exposed yourself to it yet. So theres no reason to feel bad about it. 🙂

And that series is called Star Blazers (aka- Battleship Yamotto). I've never seen it since I was just a baby when it came out. But several present day anime series often have elements of Star Blazers in them. The Irresponsible Captain Tylor for example has similar ship designs to Star Blazers, and theres a scene at the end of the Tylor tv series which pays a direct tribute to Star Blazers by re-inacting a famous scene which was in Star Blazers.

I don't watch much tv either. Theres only a small selection of shows which I actually enjoy watching. In fact, I spend alot more time online then watching telivision. Although, when it comes to my anime collection, I spend lots of time with those. ^__^

Yeah, there are several animes back in the day that people didn't know where japanese animes. Thundercats for example was a japanese animation if I'm not mistaken. So was the show for girls- Strawberry Shortcake.

You can't even imagine how much I hated the Strawberry Shortcake phenomenon. It was the most revoltingly insipid assault on good taste. I never saw the show, but the merchandizing was EVERYWHERE 20 years ago. God, how I hated it.

Yeah! Luckily for me, the show was dying off when some of the better shows starting coming around.

But don't think I completely escaped it. I saw some of it, and the merchandise, and the toys arrrrhhhhhhhh... But weren't there other ones too, like wasn't Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony japanese animations too? I can't be sure, since I was so little.

I have no idea if Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony were Japanese, as I avoided them like the plague. My female friends were into that stuff around 5th-6th grade, and it made me doubt their sanity...

Loath as I am to admit it, though, the "My Little Pony" horror did give rise to one rather decent tickling image. (It can be found at http://www.moondancersdream.com/Comics/3_9.gif, if you dare...) Of course, the Raggedy Ann film produced the greatest tickle monster scene of all time, and Raggedy Ann is a fair horror herself, so I guess you never know. Sometimes great evil can unwittingly produce something purer... 😛
