Beyond this, I actually find it a bit...interesting that so many people choose Iron Maiden over Megadeth (or, at least, the former comes to mind as a "favorite" before the latter) considering that Mustane's lyrics are darkly poetic. Then again, this is obviously only a matter of opinion...

As for the music, I just find Maiden on average to have more driving music. It often feels like it's building towards something. Don't get me wrong. I dig Megadeth. I guess it's not something I can really describe that well. It's just the way the rhythm and the words tend to mix with me.

Ah. That actually makes perfect sense. I tend to feel the same way about the darker Tool/A Perfect Circle songs and most of Iced Earth's catalogue.

Im a maiden fan, but its not really what i listen to on a daily basis, mainly made up of Finntroll, Dimmu borgir, Hammerfall, Opeth etc etc.
