Toons by "Redder" (X10)

Not private messages - it would be paradoxycal! 😀 - I meant public posts.
It is in the new rules: under 10 posted public messages, users' status is "Fresh Member".

When/if they post enough - a numeric way to prove they are serious in their commitment to this forum, I suppose - they get several advantages.

One of them is being able to send [and receive] private messages. 🙂

Guys and girls... you'll eventually brand me as some kind of nerdish history geek.

I married a nerdish history geek (also a D&D geek and into Star Wars) so think nothing of it. And you're free to hijack any thread as you invariably have something insightful and worthwhile to add to it. 🙂

Hello everyone... I am THE Jake Redder. Its always nice to see people still appreciate
my contributions but now that all the facts surrounding my "disappearance" have been
skewed I decided to take this opportunity to pop in and set the record straight.

I haven't drawn any foot-fetish/tickling related illustrations for several years now and the reason is fairly simple: tickling artwork rarely ever paid my bills. At the end of the
day, it was just a hobby. This notion that I "found Christ" or that my drawings resulted
in marital problems is ludicrous! As I became busier with my other work and a father to a little girl, I had to shift my focus to more serious projects. I have plenty of
tickle drawings that no one has ever seen before... and at some point I'll release a portfolio of my work but right now it's not a priority.

Initially, when I was first involved in this fetish niche, there was no internet
and there were very few artists creating this type of material. I bounced around
creating artwork for the handful of tickling/foot-related newsletters which
existed at the time and attracted a few clients who commissioned me to do
some private work... and when the web started booming, I saw my stuff all over
the place despite my copyright notice. Initially I appreciated the exposure but
99% of the time, the folks posting my stuff didn't even have the decency to
credit me. Some even went so far as to crop off my signature entirely. After
seeing that a few times, I had enough. I gave up the underground stuff for more
commercial work and thankfully, I've been pretty busy.

I NEVER had my own website but there have been a few fan sites that popped up
with a few pages devoted to my work from time to time. The one that lasted the
longest was run by Solly (I did a series of covers for the "Fingers & Feathers" tickling newsletter he published) and THAT ultimately ended with an eerie message about losing his wife to his tickling fetish. I can only imagine how consumed he was with
tickling her feet and talking about it incessantly.

That said, thanks for all the kudos, concern & comments!

All the best,

J. Redder

Well, its good that these common misconceptions of how things were are cleared up. At the time it seemed another way. I guess what I saw wasn't true. It seemed real enough however, and there were several stories going about at the time, and I happened to catch wind of the ones that seemed more plausable.

In any event, welcome back I suppose. If you intend to stay atall. I'm a really big fan of your work Mr. Redder. When I first entered the community it was your art that made more of an impression on me than anyone else's. It hasn't been the same without you. 🙂

To everyone else-

While this changes things, it doesn't change what we talked about, Christ, finding him, etc and the goods and evils of religion.

Kick ass. Glad to hear things are not as wierd as they seem. Are they ever? 😛
Anyway, dude, kudos to you. Glad to see things are going well. 😀

I don't imagine it would. Both you and Cheshire Cat bring up pretty much each good and bad point concerning the opiate of the masses. Both arguments have their merits, and both have their flaws...just like any given religion. *shrugs* That's what you get when you deal with humans.

Poor guy. But love and respect ALWAYS over personal desires. Never do something your other doesn't like or at least isn't prepared to do/undergo. And never put the counterpart under pressure to do something he/she doesn't like.
A shame a marriage would end over it though.
Than again... marriages have ended over smaller matters in the past.
And it doesn't look like it'll improve anytime soon ):
