I've changed my mind. I'm not giving you an award, anyway. It's only a three hour show and we'd have to cut your acceptance speech in half! HA!

Regarding the original question, I do not think there is anything in the rules that prohibits an awards thread, as long as it remains civil and does not disrupt the forum.

Also, I need to add that the other "awards" thread proposal was closed so that we would not have to have this discussion in two different places at the same time. One such debate is more than enough.

Thanks for clearing up the reason for closing my thread. 🙂 I thought maybe you thought I did something wrong, which I know I didn't.

However, it still will have been used to further my awards ceremony had you not done that. Now this means I either have to keep my thoughts to myself as I plan mine (supposing I follow through with it of course), or I have to create a new thread. I thought it would have been nice to be able to use that one though.

It felt sort of nostalgic just to be in it again after all this time. 🙂

Also, I should add that my original version had no such debate. We were actually in the process of forming the structure itself already. That it was on hiatus makes no difference in the light that I'm considering fowarding the effort now, even if by myself.

I should also clarify a statement I made earlier. When I said those opposed probably had bad experience with this, I meant they've seen it go badly somewhere else. Not that they were dissed or involved in the voting somehow and had their feelings hurt.

And I hope Camel's not talking about me. I try not to hijack much. I will say, though, that despite it all... something has come out of this thread. And that something is Journia's new song from page one. Thought it was worth repeating since this thread is about to die.

I've requested for this thread to be closed-basically coz there's some members that have taken this way too seriously when it was only supposed to be a bit of light hearted fun and it's squeezed all of the fun out of it now-so what'd the point. It was posted to see what kinda response it got from other members but considering that the large majority of replies was negative I think that the best thing to do is to close it as life is too short for unnecessary arguments.
