Jeremiah. That was pretty cool idea which could have developed really well, again killed after one short series.

I also liked the Blade series. Although I didn't give a shit about blade himself, he was a really one dimensional character, the vampires had potential for some interesting stories.

The goblins at Fox also cancelled Undeclared, Titus and Arrested Development; someone down there needs a lesson in what good tv IS

And I don't know how I forgot Daria and Samurai Jack...

Furthermore, I'm not proud of this...but Beavis and Butthead were/are a major guilty pleasure for my husband and myself and I was sorry to see it go

Was watching some firefly the other day and it just blows my mind that it was taken off the air. Were there any other short lived gems that I missed?

I got two:

Firefly
Arrested Development

You know, when I first saw the title of this thread the first show that came to mind was also "Firefly."

Similar to Dussicar , the first two shows to immediately come to my mind while waiting for my slow-ass dial-up to upload the first page of this thread were Firefly & Arrested Development.

Many of the other posters here have also mentioned Firefly , in particular , as a show that should not have been cancelled. Apparently , this show had quite a large fanbase & gained even more popularity once it was released onto DVD ... begging the question : what the fuck , FOX?!?!

I'll even go so far as to say that the cancellation of Firefly after only one season is the greatest injustice in television history.

I'm also adding to this list :

- The Dana Carvey Show

- Liquid Television

- Police Squad!
