first question. the first plastic was called celluloid, invented in 1868 and is still used as balls for what sport? and dont say mens figure skating.

second question. all humans do this on a regular basis, and for the average person, it takes seven minutes to do this.

good luck

I'll guess bowling and the other was guessed not my guess but now I'm only going to be half wrong

Ping Pong (table tennis) is wrong?

I thought that was right and the other was wrong......

both answers wrong ping pong balls nope nor bowling either

Since the second question's already been answered, I'll go out on a limb and say the answer to the first one is:

Badminton. ( Yes, I know a shuttlecock is used instead of a ball, but maybe it's made out of celluloid. Is it? 😕 )

Hmmm. Celluloid sounds like some kind of synthetic wood.

Since bowling was ruled out, I'd have to guess either pool balls or a polo ball.

I wouldn't have guessed the "fall asleep" answer...

But dag-nab-it I was just about to say pool balls! (Since ping pong balls was already given as incorrect.) :ranty: Geeze! A day late and a dollar short - a summation of my entire life.

Link: Table Tennis

Excerpts: Table tennis, also known as Ping pong ...

The 40 mm diameter ball is hard, completely hollow, lightweight and made of celluloid.

Isabeau, admit that Venray is correct. If you don't, I know how to make you do so! Thanks. 😀

I've always loved the sound of a ping pong ball batted back and forth across the table. I got fairly good at ping pong when I was in the Army. Had my own paddle and everything. :woot:

hey i only report what is given to me. the answer on the radio was pool balls, or billiards.

isabeau

It's no big deal, Isabeau. 🙂

Ping Pong is the better answer, though. Check this out: Billiards

Billiard balls were originally made from Ivory, imported from Africa. At the beginning of the 20th century, in an amazing bit of accidental environmentalism, the billiard industry realized that the supply of elephants (their primary source of ivory) was limited. They challenged inventors to come up with an alternative material that could be manufactured. John Wesley Hyatt answered the call by inventing cellulose nitrate branded under the name celluloid, the earliest industrial plastic. Later on, to fix the problem of cellulose nitrate instability, the industry came up with other synthetic materials such as the phenolic resin, virtually the only material used today and branded under the name Aramith.

well dang amk maybe i should call john boy and billy and say tsk tsk you got the answer wrong lol thanks friend
