UK law change/consultation

Hi Everyone,

Anyone fancy discussing the following?

I'd be really interested to hear peoples views, I think this new law could affect our UK tickling community if we're not very careful with our browsing.

The British government are planning to outlaw "possesion" of some specific types of pornography obtained from the internet.
Possessing pictures (presumably pics in internet cache would count) depicting "serious violence in a sexual context" or "serious sexual violence." could result in a prison sentence of up to 3 years.

Just my humble opinion, but I am worried that just surfing to some of the more extreme tickle/bondage sites homepages could soon land us in jail.

What do you think?

Interesting. I think that the majority of the sites we visit will be okay, but as you said, some of the more extreme ones may be different.

I actually think we'll be okay with all of this, as long as it's just tickling we stick with. I wouldn't call it seriously violent. Some of the S&M community might be losing a bit of sleep right now, however, and I'm pretty sure a few people on this site may come under that category.

Plus, I've found myself looking for tickling websites before and ending up on sites that were a lot more violent than I would have liked.

Interesting topic. I hadn't heard of this law up until now, but all the same I'll keep a weather eye open on this one.

Stupid law it remains though... if it means possession of material from producers like http://www.dungeonmaidens.com/ would be outlawed as well. Okay I guess they're still fine. But what about http://www.whippedass.com/? (BDSM with some occasional tickling)?

It's all consentual and it shows how shallow-minded British politicians are and how the British government hates porn, just like the all Anglo-Saxon governments (fact US also has anti-porn activists en masse, but is the biggest porn producer in the world at the same time).

Don't you just love how your government tells you how to live your life? The problem with human beings is that we completely made up the concept of right and wrong. Furthermore, we allow officials to enforce what is "right and wrong". This is not the way humans were meant to live.

Without man, is there hope for ape? <- if you know what this is in reference to, then you will know what I am talking about.......and you get a gold star.

Well, the law isn't fully enforced yet if I'm correct. I bet there's nothing to be worried about just yet.

Funny, over here in Belgium there also has been a fuss about a judge who was into SM with his wife. It's not only the Anglo-Saxon cultures that have shallow-minded people in charge.
He lost his job because he went into a BDSM-club with his wife for "beating and wounding" and also for "pimping" his wife. That while he and his wife were both into it. In fact, his wife is still with him.

Yeah, I hate it when they come down on officials for things like that. I read about an American politician once who nearly lost his job because he was into BDSM. Not even really bad stuff, just regular bondage/domination. It's silly how people are persecuted for things like that. It's not as though you can even help it. To prove my point, turn off your tickling fetish right now and stop looking at TK material - see how long you last. 🙂
