Has the 'Crazy Frog' fad hit the U.S. yet? One of those downloadable ringtones that also happens to be the most horrifically, mind-bogglingly, puppy-kickingly annoying sound in the world?

It's huge here in the U.K. and trust me. When you have to watch the television adverts for it 2 or 3 times in every single break, between every single programme, on EVERY SINGLE CHANNEL...

Then, and only then, will you know a true urge to kill.

Radio station breaks are reaching similar proportions of annoyance. After each song, some stations now grace their listeners with 30 seconds or more of bells, gongs, whistles, and various screeching noises, voiced over by growling announcers who shout the station's slogan over ... and over ... and over ... until I finally change the channel. Ugh!

I don't even own a radio for just that reason, Missy Val. Why bother listning to commercials with a little music sprinkled in when I can get whatever song I want in 2 minutes from the internet? The kicker for me was riding to school one morning and listning to an oldies station...a 45 minute drive and I counted 3 songs played!
